new neighbor

Let's say someone moves in your neighborhood. You go over to meet them. What's the first thing you ask, besides what their name is or where they're from?

Maybe you could ask them if they needed anything? Phone numbers, tools, physical help, food.....or maybe they just need to know that you care and they matter.

That would be nice! Not too many people go out of their way to be neighborly anymore these days. Only if they want something or if it is of some intrest for them. Like if it's an attractive woman and a man will go over and introduce himself. I would be alittle scared if that happened. I would feel like they were staking me out a little? and it would make me uneasy. I guess just use sensible judgement.

I have learned to take my time before just taking the initiative...
I once took over homemade chocolate chip cookies only to encounter a verbal assault of how she was pregnant and was not supposed to gain weight...however, during this assault, she whipped that container out of my hands and slammed the door shut! LOL! (I never got to know her any better than that...that was the beginning and the end of our friendship!)

Well, I hope you got your tupperware back!! I would have called it quits after that rude introduction!! I can see why it was the beginning and the end! That was totally uncalled for!
