Trying to break up with an Aquarius

Hi! Don’t want criticism but nearly 8 years with an Aquarius rising. Been through a lot and just recently fell out of love because of negativity within the relationship. He was really cold towards me at first didn’t care and then not long after he’s calling, texting and begging me back. I’m a cancer rising btw. I know I’m mad for leaving this relationship but it don’t work. I just don’t want him feeling the way he is feeling. Help a girl out

Could also be a Virgo or Scorpio too. The Icing out thing is their MO before they swing back around when it doesn't work. Scorpios don't really beg for someone back but they sure will reminisce about the good times and ease their way back in.
