How big is Norton in the UK by the way? I don't think the US knows him that much. He is huge in ireland of course but never certain how big he is in the uk..

I can never tell how famous someone is in another country unless i have lived there. partic the usa... but uk too. People always assume that American or British celebs are famous in Ireland but usually not actually.

I saw a documentary on him, when he was young, they didn’t know what to do with him but they knew he was brilliant. And they finally found a show for him. I don’t remember what it was. Maybe it’s the Graham Norton show. He also does wheel of Fortune. The Graham Norton shows stopped in 2018, he’s old now
I feel at a disadvantage.
I dont know the celebs you know. And you dont know irish ones.
Jennifer Zamperelli is an Irish tv presenter.
I dont think her Irish humour would translate tho.

So he was an actor and a comedian in ireland. And in the UK... he did a lot of weird shows in the UK before they gave him his own chat show.
He does a lot of work in ireland too.. more serious stuff tho..
Rosie O Donnell is an American one I know. She is staying in Ireland right now .. she seems really diff on Irish tv tho.. than she did on American tv. Completely diff energy.

I think maybe what you mean is that grahan norton is not as direct .. and is polite. Which to be honest goes for most irish.
Also the political landscape is very united here.
Politics in the USA : 2 opposing sides who want very diff things.
Irish politics : We are all in the same side and want the same goals but we argue who is more on our side. ' I have done more for palestine than you ' 'No I have ' .. 'I want a united Ireland more' 'No you dont I do'. I have delivered better healthcare ..no you haven't. I built more houses etc etc.
But in essence everyone wants the same thing. Its about who can be more effective and above all who is more loyal.
You dont lose viewers or fans .. because everyone is basically united by a lot of diff factors.. so there is no point to be very political .. because you wont gain them either.
