Is this friendship worth saving?

Ok so I met this Aries about eleven (11) years ago. Shall I say friends with benefits for a long time. We live in different states and would meet up here and there. We also had our own relationships and I eventually was married, divorced and with two small boys. He was in different relationships some long term, some short but through it all we remained great friends. After I divorced, he sent me an email requesting I move to his state and he would take care of me and I could build what I needed their. I never answered, mainly because I was interested in someone else at the time. A few years and relationships later we met up again and I came to stay with him because my son required an operation from a doctor in his state. I had a place to stay but he offered and spoke to my mom to insure I'd be okay. Everything seemed to be going okay so I asked if he would like to be in a relationship, he told me not right now and he didn't know if he would. Fine, so I moved on and started talking to someone else and he was talking to others because he told me. When I left, he found out I was talking to someone because he went through my things (which I never did to him) and sent my letter back in which he wrote all over the letter. In the end he told me he didn't want to be my friend anymore because of this relationship which confuses me because he stated he wasn't interested in me. He also told me I couldn't stay with him because his girlfriend didn't approve...okay so why are you writing me letters mad at me if you have a girlfriend. Mind you, he had my letter for a few months before he sent it back and he has refused to send my items back even when I stated I would pay for the freight. Anyways, I have traveled back and forth to the state without telling him because of my son surgeries. The last surgery I sent everyone a text telling them the status, I usually don't expext any response from him but this time he test, "I will keep you in my prayers, Call me when you are Free." I was surprised, so the question is should I call him or just let it go since almost a year has passed. In a way I miss my friend. By the way I am a Taurus....I know go figure.

lemme tell u r actually in a great dilemma. there is a thing with aries that they might jst move on, but the hardly ever forget, i mean i stillremember and kinda have soft corner for all the ones i have been in love with(and surprisingly, i still have all the letters and blah blah blah givn to me by them). but ther is one more thing abt aries that whn they have moved on, they really haveand they dont come back ever! hes been a really great friend to u, but whn he askd u , at tht moment u cudnt decide. aries do a lot of things in the heat of the moment but if they get time to realize, they may retract later on. u remain friends with ths guy for as far as posble for u, right now i dnt think its really posble for him to come back to u , but may be some time in future, u guys can be together..... good luck 🙂

do you believe its worth saving then by all means go for it if its a healthy friendship don't give up.

and how I valued our friendship.
He responded he would love to meet up and apologized for everything that went down last year.
So I guess he felt it was worth saving also:0)
