mean girls

Last night I felt like I was in the movie mean girls. I've seriously never experienced anything like it and keep in mind I'm talking about 25/26 year olds and not junior high girls lol

It was my boyfriends buddy's B-Day so a bunch of people got a limo and we all went out for dinner and drinks. At dinner I went to the bathroom and came back and my BF was really frustrated and angry and he started ordering food at the bar and wanted to sit there instead. I figured he was annoyed with all the loud drunk people. A girl sitting across the table got snippy with me and said my BF was mad at me because I was talking crap about another girl there (seriously WTF!?). A guy sitting nearby rephrased that and said there was a confrontation while I was away and the girl I supposedly talked badly about freaked out on my BF in front of everybody and said I was being mean to her (again WTF!!??). My BF told her I didn't even know who she was (which I don't) and this is the first time I'd met her (which it was) and I find out later my BF and this chick hooked up 3 years ago *insert eye roll*

I was clueless to all this and when I found out I felt like a fool and I was mad that I got dragged into it. Later my BF stepped outside for a bit and 2 girls got in my face and told me if I had something to say then to say it to their face, to which I said "I don't have anything to say about anyone." A girl sitting next to me appeared to be sympathetic about the situation because I was clearly in shock, not to mention I had a serious case of the drunks so I felt like i was in the twilight zone. But like everyone else she was just trying to get me to say something and react to what was going on and then she hung out with the mean girls all night. Keep in mind I hang out with 90% of these people every single week cause they're my BF's "friends." By the end of the night everyone was fighting (boyfriends mad at girlfriends for being ridiculous, my BF mad at everyone, etc.) and I felt guilty for indirectly causing this in some warped way.

It also made me see how Aries get a bad rep for the fiery tempers when really a lot of us are just fluffy lambs 🙂 How would the rest of you have handled this?

i want to know how any sign would have handled it actually. and also what the guys think of this nonsense :O

typical catty girl stuff 😛 at least by the drama queen girl that hooked up with your bf 3 years ago, I think Aries girls are more often victim of this shit (and the last ones to find out what the hell all was about) because they are always so trusting, direct and honest (and in a way naive..in a positive way though 😄) that they assume people around them are the same way. This very same quality that I LOVEE about Aries girls, is largely misused by girls from other signs..

meh i'm mostly just embarrassed....embarrassed for all those girls and embarrassed that i was the center of drama

honestly? i probably would have gone into hysterical laughter. i have this habit of bursting into giggle fits over stupid, petty drama shit. i just let them spout their nonsense and look at them with raised eyebrows. probably say "ok" to anything they said. after that i'd avoid the whole thing. get back to having good times with the folks who aren't a part of it... even if it meant mingling with strangers. strangers are often fun!

I'm not sure why you feel bad. It was just a drama queen starting shit. It wasn't you.

Had it been me I probably would have had the same wtf look for a split second and then I would have rallied with a completely uninterested look until she was done bitching then once she shut her mouth asked her if she was done. Trust me most of the time it catchs them off guard enough to give you a chance to walk away.
If/when she approached you later I'd have laughed in their face and asked them who the fuck they thought they were.
"I don't even know her and I wouldn't waste MY time talking about someone like....*insert highbrow arrogant look* .... HER." And then walked away.
I'd have then spent the night being overly hangy on my bf just to drive the point home.

I'd also be an incredible smart ass about it. When you catch dirty looks coming your way I tend to aknowledge them with a huge cheesy toothy grin and an obnoxious big wave or a big exaggerated wink and a "cool guy" point of the finger. Anything really smart ass and sarcastic. lol I'm horrible at antaganizing once someone has showed me that I've gotten under their skin. 🙂 That's me.

I advise against blowing smart ass kisses though. That got me into a parking lot brawl once. 😢 Not good.

If your boyfriend was sticking up for you,then that's what really matters...
(although laughing at the old ho,licking your mans face and saying 'mine,not yours!!!ha!!' would have been a fun option too,imo)...
As for a male opinion,well, it's just makes us look great in comparison

yeah the BF stood up for me. he's so calm and easy going but he was so incredibly mad you could feel it in the air around him. i think most dudes are going to be really pissed if their female friends all start bullying their chickie for no reason. i guess i'm kinda disappointed in a lot of these people because i did like them before and i will have to continue seeing them and being cordial but i've seen a side of them that is too pathetic for comfort.

i had a really emotionless reaction to everything because i was caught so off guard. i was actually waiting for someone to jump out and be like HAHA just kidding but sadly no

i forgot to mention that this other girl was ummm...sizable. when my BF and i got back home i asked him what happened between him and that girl and he said uhh everything and i was seriously shocked, not jealous but shocked because she's very overweight. i asked if she was thinner back then and his head slumped down which obviously means she wasn't lol. drunk boys are ridiculous!

what i was trying to say is that the other girl was comparable to beth ditto and a fight would have been anything but hot. i didn't want to be rolling around on the floor with a girl like that because we were wearing dresses and her Cinnbon with frosting would have been flashed all over the place. even if she was wearing panties, what do you think the odds are that she tripled up? that's not a risk i was willing to take!

LMA- in my head i always have a smart ass comment to this type of situation but when it actually happened, i shut down and wanted to hide (so very aries haha). my BF had words with his buddies later that weekend and asked them why they acted like a bunch of used tampons while their ladies went batshit crazy and they either said that they didn't want to get involved in that sorta thing or that they magically went blind and deaf and didn't notice it was happening.

one girl (the one that got snippy with me) apologized last night. i went out of my way to make the situation as awkward as possible but it's fine now i guess. i actually really liked her before and she means well she just got caught up in the drama. my BF does have 2 sets of close friends (he is a gemini after all hahah) but he's on a softball team with these specific friends that started this week so they all still hang out regularly. i guess they're also having a big fantasy football draft party in a few weeks where all the mean girls will be and my BF said he isn't going without me and i'm actually ok with going. i feel like continuing to show up places will piss them off 🙂
