I'm starting to think rising is the most important

feature of your chart....

The word horoscope is derived from Greek words h?ra and scopos meaning "time" "observer" (horoskopos, pl. horoskopoi, or "marker(s) of the hour."

In my country the rising is the only thing people take note of aside from the Sun. Might mean something.

I know my relationship to the world has to do with my rising only. People treat me like a Cancer...not Aries...or any other things.

I totally agree with this post! I am a second decan Taurus sun with libra rising, Virgo moon and Aries Venus. However, I honestly feel most of my sun and rising sign. Come to think of it, the past couple of years I feel I have been behaving like a libra more than Taurus
For example
- I have been feeling like an introvert
- deep thinker
- enjoying my alone time
- but then mostly I like to spend my time with someone I am close to than to be alone
- I want to always have someone there, I just like being surrounded by love
- I have been the peacemaker in several arguments
- focused on my looks (eating healthy, dressing nice, clean face)
- and have been wanting to go out more (so not a Taurus trait lol, we can be lazy most of the time and it's true that we are home bodies)

So basically IMO these are all libra traits that have been taking over my personality more and more

The rest is quite Libran, ok. And the active thing, that's Aries...it's in Venus, so your Libra energy carries Aries energy with it.
But yeah considering it's justone of your many different placements, it's pretty strong 🙂

I think it depends on the situation as to what is most important. My Cancer moon is quite strong for me also.

Gee cancer moon in the 7th...? Kinda counter-acts the cappy rising. A bit like me then...cancer rising but cap moon 7.

I actually have problems believing ascendant is the face people project to someone when they meet new people.

My cousin for example has Libra Rising and Gemini Moon. Most of my friends in life so far are Librans and Gemini. But, my relationship with my cousin is probably the worst in my life. It is doomed without any doubt.

Though she is Libra Rising, she is very much her sun sign which is the most incompatible sign with my sun sign I guess. So, in her case at least, the Rising sign doesn't help. Maybe, since I know her, it doesn't matter.

Same thoughts here. People often think I'm a Scorp, which is my rising, but have a Sag sun. I seem to attract earth and water signs (bf Cancer). Actually no fire or air lol. I've been told to be bit secretive, vague and somewhat paranoid lol.

When I'd compare bf to my cancer cousin who has Libra rising, they aren't alike at all. There's just a different flow my cousin has.

People who are aquaintances guess that I'm a gemini(Moon and rising, so that's not very strange). Four people have approached me and asked if I'm a scorpio(Sure, I'm a scorpio dominant, but...). People who know me say a mix between gemini and scorpio. First of all: how is that even possible? And second of all: Hellooo, I'm a capricorn sun!

There are very few people that I don't get along with at first sight. Even if I get a bad vibe from them, I can usually manage to hold my own, if necessary. When people get beneath my rising and want to know more, they don't get to, which throws a lot of people off. A psychologist who interviewed me for a job once even told me that I was extremely difficult to interview, because even though I seemed to be very open, there was a limit that was very difficult to penetrate and I apparently used every tool in the box to avoid it, and darn good at it too. And I honestly had no idea I funcioned like that at the time.

A few times in my life, I have encountered great difficulty socially - I have been so uncomfortable that I have either lashed out from out of nowhere or gone completely silent. It's when I am in close settings with just a few people where some or one of them have passed the rising stage and some or one of them is at the rising stage. I simply can't handle it - I don't know how to behave. Really weird!

Sure, your rising sign means a lot, but I don't know about it being the most important part. It is, after all, just your shell. In my case, both rising and moon are in the same sign, but in my father's case, for instance, the only air in his entire chart is his gemini rising and you can surely see it, but ultimately, he is the epitome of a taurus sun with a cancer moon.

Sorry. Just my own way of describing it. As I see it, us humans have basically three layers:

1. The shell - our persona = our rising sign.

3. The most intimate us = the moon sign.

2. The rest of our chart, huddled up in the middle.

I meant that when you meet a person for the first time, you experiance their rising sign, and then when you get to know them better, you pass the "rising stage," getting into the second stage, being the middle layer. I don't think it's ageing as such, but more the enegy you exude. Maybe how you handle the fading looks, because that will happen sooner or later.(..even though I go with denial, denial, denial, at the moment.😉 )

lol I'm not surprised. I can easily see that people take me for a gem before they get to know me. Oh yes. I do have a cap mercury, though, so that should in some way show in my writing - just don't ask me how. 🙂

People probably mistake me for an Aquarius.

Friends have said that I am friendly but hard to get to know. I am a very private person and do not like to share many details about my personal life even with close friends. Like an Aquarius I am friendly but detached in this way.

I'm also the odd ball out of my circle of friends and family. Now that I think about it, my ex bf and close friends need to give me a lot of freedom to come and go.

It's probably no wonder that I've gotten so close with my Cap/Aqua cusper who has an Aqua moon.
Btw, he's Scorpio Rising and I'd mistake him for Scorpio Sun!

I'm a Virgo Sun and Leo Rising and I feel as if my Leo rising doesnt fit me. I'm horrible at meeting others, I'm not at all extroverted. I guess it's a different story when I'm around friends or family that I'm close with because I feel like I can act a little too proud or talkative. If only I acted more like a Leo while meeting new people lol
