It seems that way....it's not a hard working earth house (Tauruses are lazy and enjoy farniente), it's not the house of possessions.....l mean they want a nice big house with a terrasse and a cocktail. It's the house of self-worth but but it's more about feeling good inside, and that means relaxing and doing what you want.
I wouldnt say this is exactly accurate, all those nice things dont fall out of the sky. Dont know why some on here think things come so easy for us. We have to work too. And I have to have what I have to have, therefore hard work...and it is the house of possessions...has it come to this? People cant take it to the point they make up stuff and deny? Sometimes I dont get nonTaurs at all. One main thing I think being a Taurus is focus on myself and what Im doing not what somebody else is doing. So somebody worrying about me may say "he's not working"...while Im literally working at that very moment somewhere they cant see haha. Later I already made my money Im relaxing while they are stressed out or whatever they do because they didnt do things like that/arent me.

I think if you have such placements it's where you inherited character traits or wealth from your parents. 8th house is sex death and inheritance, but 2nd is the inheritance you were born with l reckon. I say this after many moths or years of analysing the Taurus stuff l got from my father.

"What is your take on it? Death, wealth, or transformation?

Ruler of the Eighth House is in the Seventh House

Sorrow in connection with the affections. Illness or loss of a loved one.

Ruler of the Eighth House in the Seventh House

You need a certain amount of control when it comes to partnerships of any kind. You feel intensely about close relationships and you just might be someone who also feels strongly about confining your sex life to the marriage state exclusively.

You may want to have some control over your partner's finances and this can become an issue you'll both have to work out together.

A major life style change can come about through a marriage partner, close friend, or even a business partner.

Ruler of the 8th house in the 7th house

My transformation begins in one-to-one relationships. My need for transformation is subservient to my need to be involved in a partnership. I transform in an effort to understand “the other.” I transform feelings of vulnerability through relationships with partners, significant others and adversaries."

What happens when a planet like Uranus Neptune or Pluto falls in that house?

I only talk about these planets because they are slow planets and take years to move from a house to another.

Well yeah those are the important planets. It has to do with how you make money and chill. Uranus : sudden cash flow or sudden poverty, alternating, Neptune : a strange notion of money, not sure where it comes from kind of thing, Pluto :destruction of property, a new way of thinking money. Same energy regarding chill out time too...but not sure how it translates. Ur : an unusual and sudden way of chilling out, Nep : you space out and dream in your chill out time, maybe you buy bizarre mystical objects that you just watch while your mind drifts away...and Pluto some hardcore chilling out lol idk

Hardcore chilling out lol 😄 I once read the 2nd house was also about the bodily functions and therefore sex, bc Taurus is a sensual sign blah blah, so Pluto there may indicate you're the hardcore pain&pleasure type of person.

Yes definitely!!! Taurus rules the neck, the seat of sensuality.

I'd like to hear from a Taurus 2nd to see how they chill...

I have Jupiter in my 2nd house too: money is never a problem. When I need, it shows up. Am very optimistic about my resources.

Of course, the sign on the 2nd house cusp can be determinant on how you get or spend money.

Some sites says I have Jupiter retrograde while other says it stationary. Go figure out.
You so lucky....?

Yes sign on the cusp also the ruler of the sign. Example Jupiter cancer 2nd, cancer = moon, look where moon is in your chart. If it's 5th house for example. You google "ruler of the 2nd in the 5th".

I have venus, pluto and saturn all in the 2nd house, does anyone know how to interpret this?
One does not need a lot of imagination to understand what happens when the benefic planet of Venus is located in the house of possessions and wealth. This natal aspect is one of the best to have for your finances, as Venus is also the natural ruler planet of the second house. Its presence brings a prosperous life, while making the native a person who enjoys all types of luxury.

Venus, as the most feminine planet, attracts. Located in the second house, it attracts money. Indeed, the individuals born under this natal position will see a rather generous flow of cash through their pockets and bank accounts. Even if they do not become rich, they will live as one, spending extravagant amounts of money on entertainment, arts and beauty. Other people will regard them as a high-maintenance person, also because you yearn for quality in everything around them. Men with such natal placement will spend a lot on the women of their lives. As Venus is ruling arts, the individual might be also acquiring wealth through arts. This though does not mean that the person will be an artist himself.

Are any of those within 10 degrees of the next house?

So this is what i found... interesting thanks so much!!

Ruler of the 2nd House in the 8th House

Your income is related to the administration of other people's resources, joint investments, banking, brokerage, insurance, or politics. There is a possibility of receiving an inheritance. This position also favors profit by marriage.
You're very welcome

2nd House in Capricorn

You’re not a frivolous person, careful with how you spend, invest, and deal with your money. You exercise caution when making financial decisions. You may come across as a little cheap, and can feel like you have less than you actually do. You can get by on very little, and over time, build up your finances so you’re more comfortable later on in life. You can make money through something Capricorn-related, like politics, as a boss or entrepreneur, working with people older than you or with your parents, as a planner, or a career counselor

This is a harsh description, and not necessarily the only possibility with this placement.

Ruler of the Second House is in the Eighth House

Fortune after a sentimentally inharmonious marriage.
