Do you take Astrology just for fun purpose or you really believe in it?
Anyone here with some paradigm shift kind a experience... something happened and you become a believer from an unbeliever or vice versa?

The more I study it, the more I believe it.

Yup. The more I learn the more I am OMG, wow, that's freaky man........too much to be a coincidence.

And I was soooo skeptical about it, but being an inquisitive Ram type of course, I wanted to learn more about this thing that I was so skeptical about.

I believe the stuff you read in the paper - your John Cainer type blather - is just a waste of space but real actual astrology is the real deal man.

I have always believed in the personality traits. Just now understanding venus/mars/mercury, etc.

Only been studying it for about a year or less and am really surprised about the truths and correlations in the natal charts. Its fascinating when it comes to attraction with the opposite sex - why we are naturally attracted to one person and not another. That unexplained attraction we just can't put our finger on.

I didn't even know there were Houses! Those are the ones that are freaky because once you get to be a certain age, you start seeing how accurate they are. For instance, it says I would work in one aspect of healthcare - and I do!!! Wild!

However, there are also other things that shape our personality as well - environmental issues, how our parents raised us and their philosophies and influences, birth order, generational influences, cultural influences, religious ideologies, effects of where we live (rural vs urban, north vs south, country of origin, etc), among lots of others.

As for horoscopes, I don't believe that 1/12 of the population will have the same thing happen to them or will be lucky in the lottery on the same day, etc.

I am a pretty die hard believer in it. I've been studying it for many years, and I find that it has never really let me down. I usually guess someones sign on first meeting I think maybe 1% of the time I am wrong. Unfortunately it comes with a drawback to the opposite sex because there are some signs I will just NOT date unless they have several placements in another element that goes together nicely with mine. For one (no offense to anyone who is one) but Pisces is just a terrible sign for me.

It is a good foundation in understanding yourself and why you choose a certain path/and or type of partners too.
And a good basis of understanding difficulties in family relationships. It really helps, but at the end of the day, it's free will that makes our choices. I like how it helps/aids us but at the same time, it is all up to our will power. 🙂

I have to say that I am pretty much a believer in it. I have been interested from the age of about 12 or 13 (I am now 53). At the age of 19 I started studying it seriously (taking qualifications in it) and was horrified to discover that I had Saturn in the 1st house: I do feel that I have had a lot of disappointments in life and when I saw this thing about Saturn in the 1st house I was shocked but at the same time I guess that really "hit home" and kind of convinced me.

BELIEVER!

totally. from the relationship/intimate, to cheating, to food choices, color choices, parents, future lineage, etc

really takes the fun outta life though but its so additive to want to see people's chart right away. makes me prejudice to certain signs. i dont care if you say you dont believe in generalizations when it comes to astrology, i do..the good and bad.
