I will let someone merge if they seem to have their wits about them, and if I can.
Letting someone in front of you who then drives below speed limit is some kind of karmic "eff you."
I do usually let people merge. I live near NYC. Aggressive drivers abound; I'm one of them; we're all just trying to get where we want to go.

I refuse if they're the type of jackwagon that uses the empty lane on the highway to speed in front of the line of cars merging when there is construction.
And I swerve into bike riders who decide to be jerks (and trust me, the ones that do this do it on purpose) by pedaling in the middle of the road when there is a perfectly open bike lane they can use.

In general, I'm a giving person when it comes to the ways of the road. As long as I'm not impeding traffic, I let whomever needs to go, go. Although I speed quite often, I'm never in a hurry to get anywhere.
I have been known to block folks though. Typically it's after you ride my ass when I have a car in front of me or to my side. Or you're trying to get past a line of cars coming up onto a merge, instead of just waiting in line.. I will block both lanes. If it's at night, I'll get behind you and ride with my brights on. That doesn't happen very often though.
I'm a defensive driver, always on the look out for shit to go down.

Some lady passed me when her lane was empty, made an illegal pass actually as she turned to my lane when she should have first turned to the right lane of the road...which, again, was empty. I could've honked at her loud and clear for a long time just to piss her off or teach her a lesson but eh I simply slowed down as fast as I could and kept driving. Not sure if I did the right thing though, because God forbid she ever does something like that again but to someone else - bam there's an accident just cause she kept redoing the same mistake.

I drive every day... so there are certain areas that are just
CONGESTED.
I ask because I have to do so much waiting and lane hopping
just to get where I'm going (everyone does) that I try to let
people in who need in... I want them to do that for me.
I'm just always amazed at the people who will block you and
refuse to let you over.
I don't get it.
As for people passing, I don't care about that... but like @imarollin
said, I can't stand people who are constantly on the brakes and
going well below the speed limit.

I drove into the city for work for three years. After a while you start recognizing cars going the same path at the same time every day. One day you let them in, the next they let you in. I was really impressed because everyone was so good about letting people cut in in traffic. It was almost friendly, actually. Not always though. There are always those that acted like they were entitled or tried to bully their way in, those I would resist. I am especially considerate to the 18 wheelers - they're out there trying to make a living and people hate to let them over, I always do, though.

I play the passive person while driving. Most of the time. Sometimes I accelerate forcing a person to take the wrong exit, or get stuck behind someone else. It depends how long they egged me on. Most of the time I just drive the speed limit to save gas. The less you throttle, the less gas you use. If I get cut off I don't really care, if someone rides my ass I just roll down the window, turn up the radio, and start singing Nirvana as loud as possible.
Sometimes I'm nice and let people over, other times I just don't care or even notice they want over. Basically I'm a passive driver, but the button that switches to aggressive driver can happen at any random moment Scorpio moon Taurus mars.

Depends on how fast I'm travelling and how fast they are travelling, if they are clearly in front of me I'd rather just let them through. Traffic is traffic, stressing over it isn't going to get me anywhere faster, I'll just leave earlier next time *shrugs*.

I tend to notice women are the worst most aggressive drivers more so then men.
If they are as far up your ass as possible, beeping the horn, flipping you off, talking on the phone, and applying make-up all at the same time while your at a dead stop in the middle of traffic like they expect you to use your magical powers to teleport all existing traffic into the sun, it's always a woman.

Not only do I not let them in, I then engage Traffic Troll Mode and play that fun game where I speed up and slow down next to the other cars so jerkface can't pass. What happens if we end up next to eachothers depends on my mood. Bad mood = I either ignore them or flip the bird. Silly mood = Flash a cheeky smile and wave. "Hi bitch!" 😈

I will let you cut me only if you catch up with the speed, but if you can't ill just go around and make sure that I cut right infront of you to rub that in your face, it's annoying when someone cuts you and starts driving like their legs are so fragile. I have no patience for that unless the person is old.

Has anybody else noticed that two opposites signs are always "fighting" over a sign they both are compatible with. For example, Scorpio and Taurus fighting over Pisces. Or, the love triangles when it comes to each element. This is what I've noticed.
