Doubles and quadruples
Understanding Doubles and Quadruples in Astrology
Doubles and quadruples refer to placements where two or all three major points—Sun, Moon, and Ascendant—are in the same sign. A double Cancer involves two of these points in Cancer, regardless of whether the Sun is in Cancer. Quadruples typically mean all three points plus one additional factor, emphasizing strong sign influence.
Venus 4th I guess?
According to that I have double Sag only 🙂 but why it matters anyway? Think many of us have 1 dominating sign, appearing multiple times

I don't understand what you mean when you say you have double sag only. As i understand it, you can only have one double. No?
It matters to me because I want to understand what people mean when they write stuff.

I think triple means sun, moon and ASC in one sign.
So, a Gemini sun and ASC is not a double Gemini to you?

Sun Sag, Moon Aries, Venus Sag, rising Pisces... so guess I have one double for Sag there? I have more Sag in my chart too lol this is just 4 most commonly mentioned aspects I guess

Ah ok. To say that you're a double sag, I think you need at least two out of the "big three," which are sun, moon and ASC or maybe sun and moon, so I don't think that counts. I just wasn't sure if you specifically needed to have the sun to make it count or not.
Seems to me they often say you need to have "two of the three" and not "the sun and another one of the three"...which(the latter) would make a lot more sense to me. But idk. I may be wrong.🙂

Awesome. As I said to AerialView, I have a very different sun and rising, which doesn't always translate into good things. Having the same must be great. Or is it? What's your experience? I do seem to recall a triple cancer on here as well. Moon...something. Moonartist, maybe? Let's try that: @moonartist, are you there?

No, I'm quite aware that it doesn't necessarily mean that. No problem. For instance, I'm a Gemini moon and rising, and Gemini happens to score not higher than number five on my Pullen sign ranking and Capricorn, my sun sign, ranks number two and I'm actually water/earth dominant. Air and fire are way back. The modes are split pretty evenly.
What are you?
I say double for sun & moon .. I call my friend a triple Taurus cuz she's Taurus sun, moon & Mercury

What do you think is the definition of double and triple? After having done even more research, I'm starting to think double is sun plus moon or ASC and triple is Sun, moon and ASC.

Many explain this term as two of the big three(sun, moon, ASC) being in one sign. BUT. Does the sun have to be one of them? So, is(for instance) a libra sun, cancer moon, cancer ASC a double cancer? Sounds weird to me; the person is not even a cancer, but still, many explain the term as two out of the three.
And also, what the heck is a quadruple cancer? Sun, moon, ASC and..what? Or does it mean something else?
