Depends on my mood and what's going on in my life. The only genre I usually avoid is horror.

It's a killing...

Psychological thrillers... I love horrors ...but I didn't come across any that really scare me...so I prefer thrillers.

Also Romcoms n Chick flicks depending on my mood.

I'm much more interested in whether it's quality or not.

I don't care about the genre as long as its quality is good enough. I like Mafia movies, Political thrillers and Crime/Drama the most though. But I am still looking for a good comedy movie. I haven't watched a comedy movie that has made me laugh for years, maybe for 2 decades. All Hollywood comedy movies are lame and the jokes are too predictable.

As for action movies: I was recently forced to watch Fast and the Furious 8. All I can say is that there is a new world order in the hierarchy: 1. Vin Diesel 2. Chuck Norris + God. That was a crap movie with lots of CGI bs. It also took me almost 20 minutes to recognize Charlize Theron, she looked more like Kim Basinger's older sister.
