It's generally based on the degree placement of your sun.

"
Definition: decan (decanate) -- a ten-degree distance (division or portion) of a sign; each zodiac sign has three decans, which collectively equal thirty degrees. First decan (any sign) is 00.00 to 9.59.59 - second decan is 10.00.to 19.59.59 - third decan is 20.00 to 29.59.59."

So, if ever confused look at the degree.

why would you rather be a 1st decan? is there a reason?

Because 1st decans, or so i read, have all the yummy sweet qualities that people typically like about pisces.

Plus who wants to be 2nd in general? 😐

Probably the wrong reasons to want to be a 1st decan but... meh 🙂

No. I love being a second decan Pisces. We're generally considered the most emotionally stable decan and most business oriented.

I believe February Pisces are all first decan. Second decan usually starts March 1st.

yup.

i only know 2nd and 3rd decan pisces for some reason.

but my husband's relatives, one of them is a 1st decan pisces sun (february 28?) and he's married to a leo sun. And, also, his grandmother is 1st decan pisces. also close to that birthday.
although most i know from real life, are 2nd and 3rd, and i married a 3rd decan.

March 1st the March 10th

You are a Pisces born in the Cancer decan, which is subruled by the Moon. This means that your personality has an influence of all the traditional Cancer traits- Very sensitive, deeply emotional, loyal, caring, maternal, emotionally attached and receptive. Also moody, clingy, self pitying, over sensitive, self absorbed, easily hurt and unable to let go. The Moon is the planet heavily connected to the mother, and people with the Moon??s influence tend to be somewhat maternal. These Pisceans are said to be more emotionally balanced, and have a great sense of humor. They are very romantic and naturally artistic, sensitive to their environment and have a special physical touch. They are alluring but need some privacy and personal space. They also have to be careful not to over indulge in food or any substances, and not to take everything personally as they are easily hurt. They are socially charming and witty conversationalists as well, which makes for a delightful package.

omg. i married (my ex) a pluto ruled pisces. lol

sigh. ah well. 😆

Lol rebuke all you like...

But answer me this: what happens with your theory in a leap year? 😛 Does the word February grant the power of the first decan?

Someone born on March 20, 2016 may fall into the Aries degrees.
