Every one does accept behavior but what would really make someone just lose interest that quickly?

Who said anything about losing interest? I'm talking about those who choose an easy route with someone who they have openly expressed they would never love as much as someone else (the one that got away).

I know a Capricorn man who openly admitted that he loved someone more then his current partner, even expressing that the old flame was his soul mate. Yet when the old flame came back into his life, for one reason or another he chose to stay with his current partner. It was odd because I dont know if I could be with someone who I didn't have that same connection with that I did for another. It just got me wondering how that works. I think it would send me crazy always wondering "what if" if I let "the one" get away
