Interesting Statement

Read this statement somewhere...

—Leo should not underestimate the strength of Virgo, especially if it is a female. If anyone can deflate a Leo's ego, it is her??

I've seen Aries, and sagittarius women try to shut up a leo woman to a no avail. but from my past experiences with 3-4 leo women, they have always been shut down by virgo women.

Some Virgos can pull the plug on anybody.

My sister and I were just talking about this yesterday. She said that she's never been unable to break a person down if she had to. It's not something she cares to do, but if she has to go there with you then you are toast, and it really doesn't matter what sign you are.

Another person that can do that to a Leo is another Leo. I just saw, well heard, of it happening.

Leos tend to dislike any kind of criticism. Most of Virgos are great at criticizing.

Statement makes sense to me.

I think because Leo stands for confidence and self esteem
While Virgo stands for humility and lack of self esteem. So they cancel each other out. Or - Virgo cancels out Leo!

But look at the dark side of Leo: it is ripping out the egoes of others without mercy. Seems like negative Virgo too.

Maybe the darkside of a sign is the negative side of the sign after theirs.

I've been close with about 5 or so virgo women in my life and it was never like that. We don't underestimate each other's strength. It's mutual. It's funny... I have a tendency to deflate the egos of other leos, too. The lioness can be too much to handle for me if her placement is in an air or fire sign. Especially if in air there is too much talking and hyper-social behavior. The air seems to exacerbate the center-of-attention aspect.

I am a Leo. My only sister is a Virgo. She has always made me feel inferior and I am the oldest.

Her famous line to me..."shut up, you are talking stupid", works everytime. I just shut up.

My BFF is also a Virgo. She is probably the most intellectual person I have ever met. She insults me all the time and I don't realize it until I play the conversation over in my head the next day. It's like an over your head jab.

My other friends mother is a Virgo and I have never seen anything like her. She will curse you out without using one single curse word. She will quote the bible and hurt your feelings all in one sentence.

My old boss was Virgo. She heard me talking to someone one day. The next day she had enrolled me in a class titled" Dipolomcy and Tact in the Workplace" LOL

All of the Virgo women I know, go straight for the jugular. Their motto should be "You don't want none, trust me."

This thread has been thoroughly hilarious! I made this much older Leo at work cry the other day. Not in a mean way. I just explained verbatim (from my personal inspection of her traits) what she does, and that she needed to stick up for herself in spite of how she felt. That it would do her loads of good (in the particular situation at work that was happening). She started crying and said...you're right, you're right...I really should do that.

See...sometimes Virgo females criticize only to lift others UP not tear them down.

I would never tear down someone who worked hard and wasn't arrogant. On the flip side. I'm not going to lift an arrogant person up... because in my mind they don't need to be lifted "up". They already know how great they are. If (and only IF) you're genuine I will always keep my mouth shut and only offer help if you want it. I'll do anything for a genuine person. It's those fake a $ $ holes I can't F-ing stand!

but if the Leo Sun individual has quite a bit of virgo in their charts, they have a nice little balance.
They have both confidence and humility, self esteem and lack of, back and forth, until they balance.
It's too generalizing to have just one energy when there's all kinds of energies within an individual.

...and in the same coin, the virgo Sun has a lot of leo energy, then what? Same thing.

Ewww. I am nothing like a Leo. My chart is full of fall/winter signs though.
