Hi all. I've been reading a lot of astrology articles about Capricorn moon and in almost all of them it is said that moon in Capricorn is a challenging placement to have. On one of the articles it even said that moon in Capricorn natives often have a challenging childhood.i have a moon in Capricorn and had a very difficult childhood where i lost both my parents at the age of 8 and had to live with relatives who were emotionally, physically and verbally abusive so the descriptions prove to be true, My concern is my one year old daughter has a moon in Capricorn and I'm worried that she is going to have a difficult childhood as well. I feel so helpless as i feel this is her fate and as a mother i feel like i can't protect her from this. Any advise to ease my mind
Moon in Capricorn and difficult childhood.

I'm betrothed to a Cap moon and he's doing just fine. Then again he also has Wolverine in his corner so he's even better for it lol. #NoBrag
It's not the placement, it's the upbringing. You've seen first hand what damage a short-circuited developmental process can sustain, so you need to do everything in your power to make sure your daughter will never experience what you experienced.
Here's a little beautiful song to lift your heavy spirits.
In the flood or the fire, you are with her and you won't let go

She'll be fine. The greatest influence on her childhood and whether its easy or not is going to be you.click to expand
What if I'm not there though? Like how my parents aren't there?

Please do not worry and think negative thoughts. Not every Capricorn Moon has such intense situations like that but yeah, it definitely is one of those Moons that you're going to have to like be careful with the way you raise her. I'm sure you know what I mean since you yourself are a Capricorn Moon. But there's nothing wrong with that. Cap Moons are one of the strongest, hardest working Moons when they are able to channel the positive traits of that Moon sign.
Thank you. I'm trying my absolute best to be a good mother to her

I have both Capricorn Moon and Rising.
My childhood in terms of parents has been very fortunate, I got two of the most loving parents one can get. They're always with me in every corner of my life, supporting me in my decisions.
However when it comes to friends, I've mostly been alone. I was always the 'left out' kid in the friends' group, who just could not fit in.
Maybe this is the reason I've always felt better to be alone than force myself on to someone else.
Thanks for sharing that.. i'm glad your parents have played such a positive role in your childhood .. i hope my daughter says the same thing about me one day

That is entirely upto you. You are responsible for your own actions. You've already seen the worst - forewarned is forearmed. You know what you have to do to make sure that your little one has the best possible shot at life.
You're no superwoman, we all have our limitations, but reaching for the stars and accomplishing the most despite said limitations is what sets us apart in other people's eyes. Love is the ultimate fuel in the tank. Let it empower you.

That is up to you. Like it was up to them. And if you can't be due to ill health. Do your best to find someone who can be.click to expand
When i first read this i disagreed with the first part but after giving it much thought i have to say you're right (In the larger scheme of things)

Those words are like fuel to my soul. LITERALLY!! Thank you so much!! I'm copying this and pasting it somewhere to push me when the going gets tough and I need a reminder to keep aiming high!

heard that before, good thing my jupiter in the 4th house said "I got you fam" no bad childhood for me thx, so who knows, maybe other caps moon can be the same.

You both have Moon in Capricorn...are they conjunct? If so this can indicate an emotional bond and an intuitive gift of how the other is feeling. Does your daughter have any difficult aspects to her Moon? If you are aware of these it may give you an understanding of what she needs, for example Moon-Pluto can indicate difficulty with the mother, but with awareness this can be worked through.

Hey. Cap sun and Merc here. Fun fact, Scorpio moon is the “worst” moon to have. Some signs are exhalted and others are in detriment, meaning that they either excel or falter in certain placements. Cap moon? Not the worst one to have.
That said? Cap anything is about learning lessons. It’s about conquering struggles. It’s not an easy life, but the fact you are aware means you can guide your kiddo in the right direction.
Saturn is old, even when you are young. Saturn is responsibility. The best thing you can do is help to coach through that hard stuff and let them know that life doesn’t have to be that hard. Pull from their other placements, their other strengths, to make them a more well rounded individual.
Parenting is hard. Best of luck to you.

my eldest is a gemini with capricorn moon; and this is my experience so far .....
even if they don´t outwardly appreciate or seem to want it - provide emotional warmth and consistency in day to day life (little rituals THEY LOVE & NEED THAT!); they are so very deep and do sometimes struggle verbalizing their emotions or showing their disappointment.
if she shows tendencies to be shy - that is their natural. always encourage grown-up dialouge and treat with respect.
i have always let my gemini be very independent (travelling alone at a young age, making educational decisions, curfew, looks, friends etc. etc.) and my modus operandi was having a "long leash"; which has proven to be extremely beneficial; although i admit, as a parent it was not always easy for me to let go but i trust her judgement.
and apart from when she was a baby/toddler and having to step in from time to time; i have never had to discipline or reprimand this child.
they´re super good with pets!!! they can project all their love and care onto them. in any case better than for their sibling lol.
you´re gonna be fine!!! 🙂
my other one though (aries moon) .....oh la la.

Thank you so much for this. I can already see the independence trait in my daughter and she sometimes acts super grown up and makes me so proud. Just now she was putting my boots on my feet because its cold and i was barefoot. She is very thoughtful and caring and gives me kisses, especially when she's been naughty and wants to get on my good books. She absolutely loves pets even though she doesn't own one yet. I should get her a kitten / puppy soon. She is a Sag Sun by the way

Her moon conjuncts Mars, Saturn and Lilith... please shed some light if you can

Go to Astro.com and create a natal chart and post it here, I'll look at it later. Houses and aspects are very important. I'd a chart done for our son when he was a baby and it was so helpful....

I agree with Nem about pets....I know several Sag suns who work with animals and they've helped each other very much
