Isn't the mother associated by 4th or 10th house? The moon represents mother

Sh I forgot that part ?
I have a piscesmoon in second house... however yes it can mean that the mother is so emotionally involved with her self that you lacked a real mother figure in one way or another. Can say I relate to this very much... as far as mom not being like normal...

I'm guessing that was said because 12th is associated with prisons, psych wards and social services in terms of transits. The Moon is linked to how we react towards a mother figure at certain times in childhood/adolescence but that's one aspect of mother-child bond and it's not a lifetime deal. Just something that either may or may not influence how we see her when we're young. If you haven't been shipped off to a psych ward by your mother by now, it's all good.
Moon in 12th paid off well for me, personally. My mother and I are all right, kind of a weird pair. If anything the toughest parts came about from us being too similar in our outlook.
Iv just discovered this in my sons chart hence the need for positive reinforcement..I guess no parent is perfect but this shit freaked me out..Thankyou I can breathe a bit better..?

You also have to look at the sign and aspects to the moon. And of course reality.I understand how you feel. Looking at my daughters chart has been one of the hardest things for me
It has been a really sobering exercise..he'l be a year old in a few weeks and so the weight of this placement shook me a bit.. Yep reality is so far I'm still sane(touch wood) he's a happy dude..and he does seem to have other positive moon contacts..breathe deep mama..xxx
I'm gona try not to look at this in isolation..my sons Taurean moon trines venus, Jupiter and Mercury..he has a moon sextile midheaven and semi sextile Uranus.. Hoping these contacts might help temper any adverse 12th affects..?

That makes for a hypersentitive Moon, someone who had a clear gut feeling of where they were going in life. The rest just depends on how he holds onto that feeling (or lets it go) as he grows up.
he feels like an older soul..I know that term gets used quite a bit but he's a very aware little person..I may need to just get out of his way..?Thankyou..

My daughter has a Pisces moon, so I understand. There are positive things. Mother can be spiritual, sensitive, which is how I am.

I try to live a spiritually conscious life..minimise my negative output..hopefully this placement manifests in the most high..

Whaaaatt— —This cant be right.. ?
I have cancer moon in the 12th house, and my relationship with my mom is like sisters and bestfriends.. we argue in the front, get over it quickly.. she understands me the most.. and i understand her the most too (better than my dad) ?
Oh I love this!?This is good?
There is hope yet..my moon is in Scorpio so I look at the worst first..it's a survival mechanism..?
moon in the 12th here. my mother passed away early on in my life which has been detrimental for me... ive had to battle grief to be happy without her. ive always felt like i would be a good mother one day but have always been hyper aware of not being ready. i may not ever be. i do know that if i do have children, i want to give them the best chances for success. it's been hard accepting the notion that my children will never know my mother. but i take solace in knowing what i pass on is mostly from her ?

north node lol i think thats it tho... chiron is at the end of the 11th...
and thank you for your kind words ?
My moon is in 12th. I've thought about this quite a bit (regarding 12th house moon and mother). While the descriptions often talk about an emotionally absent or critical mother, I tend to see this less as a description of the mother and more about the perception of the mother by the native.
I think our moon *can* influence how we interact with our mothers. I know that my mom loved me and did the best she could with me, but I wasn't a typical child. I *didn't* want to be cuddled and fawned over. I didn't want her help, I didn't want to see her emotions. My mom, being a VERY emotional person, was just difficult for me to handle. She had depression problems, and I saw her as weak. I'm speaking as a cap moon, so the sign is going to influence that a lot too.
As an adult, we get along very well, and there isn't any resentment or wishing things had been different growing up. She just had a mothering style that clashed with me as a child.
I have 2 grand trines with my moon, so there is a very clear motivation and direction I see, and I go there. I enjoy the intuitive nature of my moon; it helps me avoid a lot of pitfalls that others might not see, and plan a course of action that leads to (mostly) positive things.

Hmm..I can see how my moon may be quite intense for a Taurean moon..I wondered how that might play out as opposites..he's very sensitive..he feels very piscean at this age..might be his south node energy seeping in too..
And yes I need to remember that distinction between how we perceive our mothers versus what their intentions/motivations are.. Uggh the responsibility..?
It's easy to blame my mother for everything..it's tough now the shoes on the other foot..?

Also I don't ever feel like I've ever been abandoned i like being alone far too much to care what others do.
I was wondering about that..it feels like the 12th house moon is a balance between the need for space versus giving too much space..it gets confusing looking at it as the mother..?

What do you mean looking at it as the mother?
If your talking about a motherly figure I smother the hell out of my dog and ill be a mom in 7 months sure ill smother the crap out of my kid too.
Smothering: always holding, petting, sharing my dinner with my dog. I ask him for kisses alot. He is where I put all my extra love that no one takes while I'm away

No I was meaning me. Iv discovered this placement in my sons chart.

Hmmm.. My Moon is in the 12th but I don't have any of those issues with my mother. She was always very hard on me, but she has always been there for me.
Yea it seems that nothing is black and white I'm reminded again..imma chill..lol
do my best and forget about the rest..☺️
I have an Aries moon in the 12th. Mom is a Gem with a Libra moon so our moons are opposite and this has always been hard. She hates any emotional displays and with an Aries moon? That's all I've got to give except a healthy dose of enthusiasm.
Growing up she was absent because she preferred to work rather than raise a family, so my Cap Sun Leo Moon grandmother raised me and it was a lifesaver.
I still have difficulties with my mother, but she's mellower with age and I'm older and smarter and have learned to control my emotions when around her which brings out her nurturing - Crab Venus - side.
I think the houses and signs in which your moons fall might make a big difference. But, yes, a 12th house moon CAN mean an absent mother at least during childhood which is what happened to me.
My moon is in 12th and my mom and I are fine.

Anyone with this placement that can shed some light on this luminary position?im fishing for positive accounts with regards to relationships with the mother figure..so far it's all looking pretty bleak..with the native destined to a life of abandonment either through being fostered out, packed off to boarding school..or losing a mother to prison or being insitutionlised somehow..?any positive testimonies gravely needed/appreciated!?Opinions always change with the trend.
What has been your experience so far?
I call the 12th the apocalypse house since it's the last stage of the cycle. The experiences are intense/highlighted for the sake of correcting them. Thats my $ $ .

Oh that's interesting 'apocalypse house'?..I don't know much about the 12th house, Iv really only just starting researching for my sons chart. It's early days yet, he's only a year old. I have been looking at how the absentee mother thing might be an issue, but I'm not pyschic and so far so good..🙂 the only way I can see this coming into is my life path is going to involve a lot of travelling, which will probably be hard for his Taurus moon. So I guess whatever planets you have in there are you rounding off those lessons..?end of the karmic cycle type stuff..

Oh ok.
Yeah I don't know how other 12th house mooners are but I wasn't close to my mom.
She always wanted to bond over getting toe nails done and boys. Two things I'm not a fan of. Was close to My dad, worked on cars with him.
She hated that.

Haha..i can relate to that..never been a fan of manis and pedis either..I was just tryna soften any blows that this placement might have for him..and what I was reading was fairly bleak.. Iv reached a place of semi zen about it all now tho, and realised that this moon doesn't necessarily mean I'm gona be the worlds worst mother?

Thanks for the healthy dose of enthusiasm..?? I think that I just being aware will help..we have opposite moons too🙂 Taurus/Scorpio..my moons in the 10th..and my work is a big part of who I am..I had a workaholic mother who was Mia as well..so I definitely don't want those patterns repeating..think il just have to chuck him on my back wherever I go..🙂lol
Thankyou..
