Pholus
There was this special night in my life when I got disturbed sleep. That episode took more than one year to disappear. On that night Pholus was in Conjunction with my natal Mercury.
From that sleepless days I learned that I was craving for work. So I did my best to find a new work. Also I improved my social connections and activities. It was through work and other changes that I get my normal sleep behavior again. Yet it took months to settle in.

It sounds very similar to Chiron. Chiron a wounded healer, Pholus a wounded dreamer. Both shot by poison arrows.
Tiz, all the last years I was searching for a transit which could explain the beginning of my disturbed sleep. Now look, what I found on the net:
"At those times there was an important turning-point in the lifes of most of the participants of our transit research, though nothing of such kind had been indicated by transits of other main planets."

I never understand asteroids/centaur planets but from what I've read, Chiron's orbit links Saturn to Uranus and Pholus' orbit links Saturn to Neptune so it does fit your theme of dreams.

what about your Mercury? which sign and degree.
I've read that only orbs of 2 should be taken. So that progressed Mars wouldn't count.
PS:
In my case the two dates I'm trying to analyse have nothing to do with progression. I checked them. why this astropost.blogspot works so much with progression is not clear to me.
I just noticed:
for people with Sag Stellium the era between 2005 and 2018 has a few Pholus sparkles for them. I see I have to get used to these "restrains".

It's a time when something from depth of your consciousness tries to come to the surface and make your life strange. you feel restrained and under pressure. you don't know why.
it must be very different than all the other hardships you've experienced. at least in my case it felt that way.
Pholus in the natal chart is indicative of issues relating to both Saturn and Neptune, i.e. feelings, emotions, sacrifice, dreams, chaos, all Neptunian stuff and the Saturnine influence of order, duty, restriction and control. In aspect to a natal planet Pholus could indicate something we’re not yet fully aware of, something that is waiting to manifest. Perhaps something from our past is restraining us, is keeping it under control. It may become a pressing issue that we blindly and impulsively act upon only to find it has disastrous results. On the other hand, it may lead us to achieve great things. Pholus also has a mediumistic quality, a connection to ‘the other world’ and the ability to get in touch with it.
