He is right about the risk of women having children after their 30s though

But it's retarded to think that sperm quality doesn't also decrease once a male is over 35

Men are really deluded about their reproductive prime.

it should be over 40.

not 30.

a lot of women finally settle down and want marriage and children after 30 due to after college.

40 would be over the hill.

50 is no go...that's menopause territory. most women menopause in their mid 50s (averagely) but some menopause late, like 60s, or 30s super early. but average is mid 50s.

@cliquey, biology and doctors/science only WARN you.

they still will allow a woman to give birth in her 40s just fine. and the children are healthy and become productive part of the system. (let's face it, we're all statistics, and I know it sounds so coolly but that's just how the government also sees us) too many of us, so they gotta take in statistics.

they just advise against women having babies over 40.

optimal is the best

Would you rather be the healthiest version of yourself or the more flawed one?

Would you rather have an optimally healthy child or would you be selfish enough to reproduce out of your absolute prime?

Remember genetics stay with you from womb to tomb.

It's just not right to neglect facts and hope the chances aren't against you when it comes to something that has such an influence on the quality of your life and more importantly someone else's life.

yeah it's better in her 20s of course.

and 30s as well.

but not in her 40s or in her teens. (teenaged girls also get warned not to have babies) not because they are too young and need to go finish school and grow up a bit, but because biology wise- they are still underdeveloped. so their children may have some complications like those women who are over 40.

these complications are in the form of diabetes, mental and physical disability. it's a larger chance statistically than the 20s and 30s, but any woman can give it to their child.

xy, xx ....genetic coding...all that pooh pooh stuff.

lol no one wants to live in America I notice.

the article is suggesting U.S. SUCKS.

Any ways Im sure this is suppose to be a fun topic for men, so let me check out.
That wasn't fun to read and made me uneasy about the men all the single females in my circle could possibly have romances with a bit.

If any ran into and dated a dude that anal and set, I'd have to reality check her before she sells her sole for botox and whatever clothes he likes.

Yes! It was weird Stepford wife-esque version of what a wife should be. I've seen this type attitude with men who have insecurity issues. They want a young, naive, submissive woman they can mold and feel intellectually superior to, so they can control her. Assertive women who have their own mind scare them, because they know she will figure out quick they aren't about shit, and leave them.

The scariest part is, if they have kids, THAT'S the model of how both genders should treat/be treated by the other.

Now while I don't need a woman who's willing to pick fights with everything and everyone ( baby sitting those types gets tiresome fast.) I'd totally be for a woman that can fight and defend herself, if not physically, then emotionally/socially. Shoot, could give each other combat tips and shows us what we can teach any children if the relationship goes there.

It could have been worse but it was written by a man - women could write their own similar article and then we could see how men feel about that. Good luck in finding sweet polly purebred these days - and I mean male or female.

I believe that people can change as they grow and they should and there are absolutely no guarantees. A 20 year old is very different once she reaches 40 years old. Life happens. My only solution would be a pre-nup so that if a partner did change, there would be known consequences which they could decide if that is which way they wanted to go. Just a cover your ass legal document.

And there have to be some exceptions - because life is not perfect - like not all people who come from single or divorced parents are tainted - some still believe in the good life.

Modern day society has broken a lot of these rules. That is the picture that was painted for me in the time that I was born so that is what I understand. It sickens me that I see a lot of young women thinking they are the queen/biotches and treating their men like slaves and the men cater right along with them like that is the only pang in the world ... sheesh makes me sick ...

And by the way I am 58 and look 40 and I have kept my figure - there are women who age well genetically. I am not one of those Cougar things. I can't date a man that is my son's age. Ok so may 5 - 7 years younger but that is it - and he has to be mature!

I do agree with the fact that you do have to pick a partner that will be a team player, a good partner, be attracted to them and have good communication and work well together. I love that part. Well I am a Taurus and Capricorn ... the Venus in Aries and Mars Pisces take care of all the rest ... tee hee!

Not even Monica Bellucci. I'm not against them having laser treatments, botox, fillers, surgery, etc. but I wish people would be more realistic when looking at celebrities and thinking they did nothing to look that good at their age, and then treating the mainstream public like walmart trailer trash because they don't look that way at the same ages. You have to have a lot of money to be able to afford the treatments used to look that way, and they're in a business where they pretty much HAVE to look that way, but they have the money for it, so they can. The reality of how people actually age without paid for techniques to look younger is evident on the faces of everyone we meet in daily life.

Think of everyone you know in real life: you aunts, mom, grandmas, people you work with, meet at the stores, etc......do they look like that at 50+? Do the men look like they're 20 at 50? Have you ever looked at pics of your family when they were in their 20's and been amazed at how good looking they were, a bit shocked at how age changed their looks? That is the true reality of how most people age. We all have our moment of being young and lovely, and it never stays the same.

Well, I read the whole article. And... while I may not feel the same as this writer on the subjects of marriage and women, I'm more than sure there are women out there in the world who do. It conjures mental imaginings of a Puritan-Victorian sort of era, but one where women had perhaps even less control.

If that's what makes people happy, it's whatevs. So long as no one is being hurt in the process I can't see where anyone outside of such a relationship should have any reason to care.

@Moonartist, thanks. You're right. It's having the money, and life style .

I tried to google Monica Bellucci as an example and if she got any botox and surgery and lots of sites say she didn't, but she does use night cream and day cream on her face. And she drinks cappucchini daily with her friends ( I bet outside under the Italian sunshine) I thought that was lovely. but we don't know otherwise.

“I’m not afraid of getting older. I’m only afraid of diseases. I dream of being healthy until the age of 150, of continuing to drink cappuccini with my friends and to die peacefully in my sleep.”

Well the trailler didn't show much tbh...but it doesn't seem to be my cup of tea...

I also enjoy some Romantic movies...but specialy the European ones..they are way way less fake.

They portrait men and women with their own flaws...

American movies nowadays its about superficiality....you have that standard of hotness you have to reach..and that's it...

Like those Criminal TV Shows where the Cop women are allways super hot and with make up on and their hair super well done..."Before i fight the crime i must put this make up and go to the hair salloon...."....i just lool with those Tv shows..i can't watch them..for me they are all Comedies.

God damn the only cop woman i know almost looks like a man !!...

I dunno the name of that chick from the Transformers movies ( i only watched the first one) but her face it's allways the same...she is allways having an Orgasm in every fucking scene...i laughed all the way through it... 😆
What are some good European romance films?

I don't mind the American stuff. Everything in moderation, to me. It's good fun. On the whole I think I definitely prefer low-brow films. I can forgive and enjoy any film as long as it's entertaining. Whereas I can't sit through a sophisticated or character-driven film if it isn't entertaining. I spend most of my day thinking, so when it comes to films I just want to switch my mind off and enjoy.

Example of a movie produced in the UK and published by a US company...

"Love Actually" I really enjoy that movie...it portraits all diferent types of Love in just 1 movie.

And on a total European side of things:

"The Dreamers" Prepare to be hit by a truck...Erotic / Romantic movie. Really good one, you should check it out if you didn't already. (not for everyone).

About American stuff...i kinda gave up...the last movies i saw from the US on the last 10 years were..Inception, Interstellar, and the Hobbits one...that was it...

And maybe some crap here and there that was going on TV just to pass time.

I wish that there are English subtitles for a lot of European films. Unfortunately there isn't.

naw it's cool. my husband knows how to figure out how to get subtitles, but I already know some languages myself so I can read/listen to some foreign films just fine.

it's just that there are SOME European films that don't have any subtitles for English speakers.

for example, there are a few Swedish films that we like to watch and I can watch it under other foreign languages but it's never in English. Then if we have other family or friends that don't understand the languages, it sucks for them. So well...off to watching other films. lol

no one has time to translate the entire film while watching. no one likes that. lol

He was barely abusive and it was because he threw his life away to raise a slut's child, and the slut cheated on him...

Ryan Gosling was the deep one in that movie. The girl was beyond hollow.
