That moment when...
Not exactly, but I've had similar experiences. As a Taurus with Scorpio moon, me being friends with someone whose sun is Scorpio will usually end up in flames. It usually doesn't matter what the scorpio's moon is. Nothing against scorpios in general, but typically we are not compatible in the long run and things end horribly. But I hit it off with scorpios insanely well. It's just that when someone gets mad or irritated, it gets so ugly between us. So whenever I meet someone who I get along with well and feel like we have a connection, it's almost always a Scorpio. So sometimes I avoid the subject of astrology because I'm afraid to find out that they are a Scorpio. I want a miracle to happen and for me to have this kind of connection with someone who is not a Scorpio. But at the end of the day, i somehow always find out that they are a scorpio. I'm the kind of person who keeps an open mind and says "this time it'll be different" but it never is.

I do look it up for immediate family and close friends. And for a while I did it for potential love interests...but for some reason THIS ONE is different. It's like I don't feel like it anymore and I'd rather just work with the fact that she's an earth sun.

I just realised today, it's quite odd that in conversation I don't even think about asking her for her location of birth (I already know her date and country of birth).
I only start thinking about it if and when we are not in conversation.
Like something at the back of my mind keeps reminding me, "If you do this, you will never be satisfied."

But with this one, there seems to be no need for that. For the question that you posed to me, for what purpose? On hindsight, finding out a person's chart only fed my fear of what I might find. Update :
So today she told me her placements...without me asking.
FML lol.
But we discussed it and decided we won't go further down that path. To just let things be and move on together and grow together.
So she knows I'm a Scorpio moon now, but doesn't know my mars, mercury or venus. And we're keeping that way.
