i dont think the grief is only for them. you truly miss the person! it takes

along time to get over that, if ever. you will see one day how final death is.

part of you goes too and it doesnt come back and either do they. never. the phone wont ring and you wont hear their voice...you wont see them anywhere around town or walking throught the door, you might hear phone ring and think it them and then remember no thats not going to happen but you still wait, and you might think you see them and chase across a parking lot but when you reach them they are gone and mind plays tricks but not even

for a visit. only what your mind can imagine. no kids and no grandkids not anything! so yes, they are lost.

what is strange phenomenon is that you do tend to wait for them to come back.

like you just keep hoping that somehow they will revive or something. its weird feeling.

Ahh, the old "suicide is selfish" line.

I agree to an extent. I have suffered from depression on and off since I was 14. Never took medication for it because of it's side effects. I've noticed that the people who usually say suicide is selfish are those who have never experienced chronic depression.

But I will admit that MOST suicidal people tend be a bit self-absorbed. They're taking the easy way out. Like the saying, "a permanent solution to a temporary problem." BUT there are those that feel like their lives are such a burden. Their life, their choice.

I will say that many suicides are mistakes because lots of depressed people refuse to seek help when they should but I will NEVER say it is completely selfish because I know the depths of real depression.

I also think there's selfishness within the families/friends. It's selfish for them to expect him/her to live for them, even while suffering. Look at it from all sides. Everyone's selfish!!!

It can be selfish in the way (some) do take their lives..in a very violent, shocking scary way for their loved ones to find them. People left behind are only human, and have loved that person, regardless. So they too have a right to their own feelings, as well. To grieve or miss someone does not mean your selfish. i would find the contrary unusual.. In the end, you just hope they are in a better place.
