Thoughts on Anaretic/Critical Degrees of a Sign? I.e. anything in 00 or 29

I've read online and heard from various others that having a sign in 00 or 29 degrees makes that zodiac energy extra, extra intense... I've read that if it's at 00 it's because in this lifetime, your soul has chosen to learn a new lesson (around whatever the sign is) and if it's at 29, then you are on the verge of completing a soul lesson. However, these degrees also signify cusps. And it seems contradictory to me that you would have that zodiac energy twice as intense and yet also have a lot of energy from whatever sign you're on the cusp of.

It might be better with an example... If someone is a Capricorn moon on an Aquarius Cusp (at 29) would you say this person's moon was EXTRA Capricorn or equally Capricorn and Aquarius?

Does anyone have any thoughts on which it is? Or can they both be true at the same time somehow?

I have both Anaretic and Critical degrees. I really wouldn't say they're a cusp... because your birth date and location is something that's fixed.

Hmmm whoops, maybe I don't really understand what they are then. I always thought Anaretic and Critical degrees were the same thing, i.e. anything at 00 or 29, which would be cusps.

Fascinating...I honestly don't think I've ever studied anything on the meaning of degrees in astrology.

sure it goes on a tangent... but i have some of these n my chart so i grew curious. there are some links in that thread that might be helfpul 🙂
