Right on cue.

Let me clue you in cuz you missed the point. The ONLY people that bring race AND react to race the way he reacted to Alicia? Yeah they are the ones that blame it for everything going wrong in their lives. Willing to bet money he thinks it's one of his issues with women.

Meanwhile people who are good at it transcend the race argument.

So yeah damn sure I am going to point the obvious here. His mindset, not mine.

I missed nothing.

I made a statement about the valid facts of the situation.

The fact that you as a white woman think it is okay in any sense to use the term in anything else other than a clinical discussion of the n-word, shows me you have absolutely no valid concept of what race means, how it works or impacts others.

But I know this already. A few others do as well. I bet for you, it is news *shrugs*.

But you wouldn't be the first white person's tears I drank this year, surely won't be the last.

Fuck that Fredrick Douglas shit. Just tell that bitch to keep walking fast and looking down at her feet

You know man...you are doing a disservice to your own race with these statements.

Do you even realize why?

I don't see Black men or any race man as thugs but you're telling me to walk fast and look down at my feet or else what? You'd rape me in real life, kill me? Way to play into cliches.

The self-loathing is really sad.
All black men are thugs
It's good you don't get to speak for all of them.

Na I speak 4 the unspoken. For the real. Coward ass white ho

Now they are mute and unreal? I see them talking in this topic, expressing their own views.

Granted one of them can only focus on what I am saying cuz he wants to get offended...while keeping mum to the shit you're saying. But the other..eh..different stories up in here.

Btw when did you drop that mic, did you also collect the pennies on the ground?

Blackness as a concept, Black Men, Virgo Women, Virgo Men have nothing to do with LazyK 's misogynistic views.

*shrugs*

Missed the point but proud of it. Like always.
Nata just because you have some axe to grind because of your own inadequacies has little to do with me. My comments stand even if you disagree.

Agreed.

I'm going to put this out there...right or wrong...because hopefully it will give all a different perspective.

What I find maddening about this whole subject is that by continually putting it in terms of race, we(all of us) as people undermine the push for us to be treated equally and justly as human beings. Words, race, gender, are merely wedges to divide us. What's equally maddening is that the answers we seek are right there in front of us. I don't see tigers putting each other down because their stripes are different. If they fight it is in the defense of themselves. Therefore it is no different then when injustice happens to another human being. It hurts no differently. When a police officer kills an unarmed black man, I don't see it that way. I see it as a human being deprived of life unjustly and I would feel no different if it happened to a white person. Same as men vs women. Again, we are humans and if things are to change we must start addressing each other as that...and that only...human. It may sound all kumbaya yada but I'll say this. Words only have the power we give them. So do the words race, hoe, the n word. We are all simply seeking equal treatment and dignity as humans. No more, no less. So perhaps it's time we deal and express ourselves using language that is conducive for understanding to take place.

Even if it does have a racial term or history attached to it.

I used it on an equally ignorant white woman so that makes it null. Would you rather I call you a fig? You are what you are and more and more people are seeing you for exactly that.

I like you I do, and yes at base, we are all human.

But we do have identities some chosen, some given, and in truth so long as we live in a world where the systems of society treat us differently based upon those differences those identities necessarily carry very real practical weight. To ignore that is dangerously naive in my honest opinion as it blinds someone who lives under the yoke of an unwanted or socially unfavorable identity from the danger that is aimed at their identity group.

I like and respect you as well.

With that being said, since you mentioned "practicality," I'll present you with this:

"Whatever mixed breed. U ain't the spokesperson for black women."

These are the OP's words which can be found on page two of the thread. He not only racially injured her(QueenAlicia) but also demeaned her along the lines of gender as well. In that simple phrase I see no less than three injustices. One because she's black, second because she's mixed race, third because she's a woman. Remember, I'm going on your premises here...I said it's about being human. While I agreed with your first post mentioning misogyny, you addressed Damnata's words but never said anything directly to the OP about his words and actions. Just, to be honest and no offense, a passive aggressive response to them.

My point being, having a system in place designed to keep a certain segment of humans in a certain state does not justify...committing acts of injustice. I'll present it in practical terms. Injustice is injustice and if you are going to address the behavior of one(perceived or otherwise) then you need to address the behavior of the other in the exact same manner. In other words, if you are going to dispense or seek justice, don't undermine your effort by overlooking the injustices of those who you are arguing for. That's not justice...it's revenge. This is no defense or put down of Damnata as I said before I agree with both your points. Good day sir.

My comment touched on all 3 persons: Lazy K, Nata, and Alicia herself.

Direct confrontation is a luxury that I do not afford to every individual. I chose to address the behavior and commentary in a full sweep. Now is that passive not naming them directly? Yep, it is.

My reason is that overt confrontation isn't the right tool for every engagement. At times engaging at all isn't the right action.

Less satisfying I am sure to read but given the history and displayed style s of communication of all 3 getting into an extended tit for tat with any of the 3 would be pointless.

As a result of the above, despite the notion that I should address every single problematic thing that comes up on the site, I generally say nothing to the grand majority of the commentary that I see, no matter how malformed.

With that clarified:

My initial comment was for all persons present and those who are lurking and wrongly connecting the things I spoke about in my first comment to the OPs views.

You really should address individuals directly. Otherwise, it's pointless because you're creating a platform only for yourself to express your opinions while simultaneously making it so the other parties involved do not have a chance to defend their stances. It's cowardly.

There was nothing I said that wasn't factual. I brought up what I brought up because it's a harsh truth that many people in the black community ignore for several different reasons.

I don't think he's ignorant because he's black. If that was the case I'd be insulting myself in the process. Simply put, he's ignorant because he's ignorant. However, his type of ignorance (the blind misogyny) is something that I see prominently in the black community more than anywhere else and because I am part of that community, I addressed it.

It's one of the main issues that plagues the black community, but is constantly overlooked. I'm tired of it and I'm also tired of people acting like it's not an issue.

While I'm not condoning others outside of our community mistreating us because how one treats another is the basic point, at the same time we also have to hold each other accountable...something that I see that is missing.

Why are black men so fucking chauvinistic? I can't stand it.

It was an unqualified statement. That is what puts your commentary about the topic in this thread on the radar.

As for my choice of style for my response and it being cowardly, that would imply I had a fear of voicing my concerns.

Definitely not the case, to be certain.

As for male-led misogyny being an issue in the black community, yes it is.

It was a generalized statement meant to garner attention. Factual nonetheless.

I went on later to clarify that this did not pertain to all black men, but I'm more than certain that you didn't read through all of my responses thoroughly. Your objective was to blindly defend the misogynistic black man simply because you are also a black man.

All I'm saying to you right now is, either address me (or whoever) directly or not at all. Otherwise it does come off as cowardly. You're giving yourself the chance to explain your stance while not letting the person you're referring to explain theirs. Does that make sense?

If I were addressing an issue that I had with you I would tag you because I believe in a fair debate, both parties should have a chance to state their cases or views. That's all I ask. I don't see you as a brotha who is unreasonable or ignorant. So hopefully you understand where I'm coming from. This is not an attack on black men. This is me confronting an issue that is prominent in the black community among many black men, but I know not all black men are this way. It's an issue that is way too overlooked and it's the root of why there is so much chaos within the black community.
Since you took the time to express your preferences for engagement and they are not unreasonable, sure, I'll address my words directly to you as the need arises.

My issues with your first comment, however, is that the generalized statement you made had absolutely no delimitation.... by its very nature the statement couldn't be a fact. Even with your clarification later on that (I did read by the way) as the thread progressed it still doesn't invalidate my initial comment.

As for my intents, objectives, desires, reasoning and rationale... well you don't actually know any of that, beyond what I tell you here. I have no love for the OP or his views in part or portion.

SN: I don't move blindly nor give knee jerk reactions in all segments of my life this one included.

Fair enough.

You have the right to feel however you want to feel about my initial comment even though I have already clarified more than once what I actually meant when I made that comment.

You came on the thread fighting the OP's battle by immediately going head to head with Damnata. You weren't really addressing anything ignorant that the OP said. You have now that it was brought to your attention, but initially that was not so. So I think you can understand why there was some hostility initially.

I do believe that you're not like the OP and that you are more than capable of forming a structured opinion that isn't just based off of blind emotion and ignorance. However, the way you came into the thread initially, similar to my initial comment, gave off the wrong impression about your intentions. I think we're on the same page now though.

Comparing 2 classifications of nigga. I'm the emotional & he's the thoughtful one. Thank you sellout for making everything so clear.

I have no desire to fight you or anyone really on this site or anywhere really...

But while my comment was about things that Nata, yourself and voldemort said but there was a reason as stated earlier for not making it about any of yall specifically save The OP, which in my mind context and the sheer volume of tripe coming from him made it impossible for my comment not to attack his positions.

His thoughts on blackness, virgo women, women in general and virgos were critiqued throughout the entirety of my comment.

As for the timing or intensity of my rebuke of the OP's views....well...what is there to say?

As stated before when I really do feel the need to address someone directly I most assuredly will, whether that addressing is on another's preferred timetable is another story altogether. I don't see everything but I take in much and observe and analyze before I engage.

As for Nata....

So stating that I fought Nata intentionally is bewildering to me personally.. especially since her role in the creation of my initial comment was negligible.

Nata chose to engage with me on that comment, she chose to focus on the racial points, I never said a word edgewise to Nata about race in this thread. I find Nata's views on race to be rather malformed, and her personality unnecessarily abrasive for my taste, so I don't engage with her unless she speaks in my direction at which point then I will respond.

I picked no fights with her. She made unqualified generalized statements about Virgo men..... I identified the total groups and concepts that were being wrongly linked to Lazy K's words and stated that those several items do not have valid connections nor should they be mistaken as being possible of validating LazyK's warped views.

My commentary really has very little to do with Nata as an individual and even less to deal with support for the OP.

I hope this really can be laid to rest now.

Nigga you a sellout lol ?

J/k do your thing bro

But tell me, how do you feel I'm being misogynistic? I clearly made a distinction between a woman and a hoe. The whole Virgo thread thing was for fun, not for serious.

Didn't do that. Only comment I made in this topic that addressed the topic itself was my first one, and then I only addressed the OP/other people. And yes, OP is part of a section of Virgo men I am addressing. Should be pretty obvious to you that I am addressing Virgo men who are..the way he is (and by "the way he is" I don't mean black but a douchebag, since I know you like reading racial tones). If they aren't, then I'm not addressing them. I mean...since I am quoting him and all.

Blackness as a concept, Black Men, Virgo Women, Virgo Men have nothing to do with LazyK 's misogynistic views.

Isn't addressing the topic at all. No mention of race in the OP. You just...felt like stating it out of the blue right? Had nothing to do with the discussion between Alicia and the OP or mine with the OP, right? Your cowardice really knows no bounds but that's not news. Only took for you to be called upon by others to address LazyK since you were busy fighting me. Just like that topic on the Cancer board where CC and a white dude went at it and CC kept calling him racial slurs and all you were doing was going at him because he called her ghetto thrash. Again people called you out and you back peddled about not calling CC out, just like you did in this topic. I just enjoy this theme and I'll address you whenever you do it because you're transparent in your agenda.

Won't prolong the topic further. Just couldn't let you get away with lying about I did in this topic.

When I say I literally did not read a single solitary word of whatever you are trying to say right now, I really do mean it.

This butter is crazy.

@LazyK some of the points you made were actually right and you have a foundation a premise for your arguments(speaking of what you said about the black race.... not Virgo women), however your delivery is all wrong so it's not sticking to anyone

@Alicia you have some points too. If I'm being honest, black men do have a masochistic mindset. Even my husband behaves this way sometimes, but I find myself constantly shifting his paradigm because I don't want him to pass that on to our sons.

It comes from how our culture was taught to be. They spent several years being told what they couldn't and won't don, being emasculated and watching their women get raped, so now their exerting their "manhood" but in the wrong ways.... if that makes since. It would take a lot educating to shift the mindset of an entire culture.
