These are some I thought about...

3rd House - Rules communication and a practical level of intelligence, more like street smart.

9th House - Rules philosophy, foreign culture, travel, expansion, teaching, publishing, writing and religion.

11th house - Rules the unexpected, bizarre, original thinking, thinking outside the box, unusual ideas and social responsibility.

I think that the most powerful when it comes to a brilliant mind is the 11th, 9th and the 3rd in this order.

Jupiter for expansion, Saturn for dedication and Mercury ruler of the mind in these houses and aspects between them could show someone with a brilliant mind, IMO.

What do you guys think?

Yeah l guess....but Aries and Libra are pretty good as well....look at Christopher Hitchins, 4x Aries, could argue all his life against the whole world ?

Will Smith, l think has a great mind, and Snoop Dogg....because Libras have their soul deeply seated in the kidneys, they have perspective into other people, they show nothing but class, and intelligence. They have the best perspective.

Well it's going to involve Mercury and the 3rd house.

I'd say Mercury-Uranus or Uranus in the 3rd

3rd house knowledge is more practical, a little bit superficial too.

Gemini is known as jake of all trades master of none, I think this combination of Mercury and Uranus in the 9th or the 11th house would be more powerful.

Mercury in positive aspect to any planets, but especially Venus (artistic thinking), Jupiter (expansive thinking), Pluto (investigative thinking), and Uranus (out of the box thinking).

What would you label as " positive aspects " ?

Thus is what I've been trying to understand!

If I've got this right ......

Positive are trine, sextile and semisextile

Negatives are they opposition, squae, semisquare (or octile), sesquiquadrate (or trioctile)

Then conjunction is said to be either good or bad.

Don't take my word for it I'm still learning ?

My sun and mercury are both in the 3rd house. I've always done pretty well in school but I do struggle with the thinking process and decision making, which might be due to my mercury retrograde though.
