I despised the predictive nonsense in the paper
(Still do) so I started researching online instead.
Kind of wish I hadn't.

Posted by HeartI agree 100% . That is exactly what I try to convey to people that I teach astrology to. You are not bound to your birth chart! Take your life into your hands because you have the power to change your world. Astrology is most definitely a tool for personal transformation.
I just kind of slipped into it. In 2012 I had a major mind shift when things became tense between my narc mother and I. Then I started practicing meditation and suddenly began experiencing weird synchronicities, and the urge to read on philosophy, mythology, and slowly stopped watching television (especially news).
I got more interested in astrology after looking at my birth chart and realizing how true certain things were to my own life. Personally I feel horoscopes are more true to people who live their lives unconsciously, once you know you have control astrology becomes a tool rather than fate.
January this year. I was googling for inspiration for a couple of characters for a story I was writing. It has taught me things about myself. Doesn't really matter if you believe in it or not, imo - looking at a placement or an aspect or whatever makes at least me think about whether I'm like that or not. Good. 🙂
