Why would a guy wear a stainless steel designed ring like this?

in his fourth right finger. Is it likely for the engagement stuff?
the design is something like that, not exactly the same.

Or maybe it's an aspiration of his? Some people like to ride solo just as a way to relax. It would be a great conversation starter should you ever decide to have a chat with him. ^.^
