Please help with a cap guy

Okay so I like a Cap guy at my workplace(he has switched jobs now) & he sort of knows i like him. Instead of hanging there like a pendulum, i took the initiative & added each other on social media a month back, i even started conversation there, he replied and asked "whatsup" but left me hanging there once i replied. So i left him alone thinking he is not interested.

I saw him the other day at office and we literally had some intense eye contact where i was acting like i don't know what to do & he kept on smiling while looking at me. Like he was not smiling at me otherwise i would have smiled back. He was just smiling while looking at me (you know what I am saying) 🤔

Few days later, he sent me a link to a song on social media that he has performed. I complimented, he said thank yousmile

And that's it.

I literally sort of want to forget him. I like his posts, he checks my stories. Nothing is REALLY happening between the two of us.

Should i just ignore him totally or do something else? I don't want to start conversations with him as i don't want to be left hanging again.

I am just confused! Help me with your precious advice 😁
