Are Cancers the most dangerous of signs?

Basically I'm a Leo with plenty of Cancers in my chart, and altough I analyze things from every angle I always make the same mistake - I follow my gut feeling. The problem is I don't have a gut feeling, I simply allow myself to be led astray by emotions and I act upon that impulse...even if my relatively calculating mind flashes stop signs!

So by that definition, aren't Cancers the most dangerous sign in the Zodiac? Phrases such as "crime of passion" comes to mind. Just a thought.

I am beginning to ponder on exactly what you are pertaining to enfant...

At first I was afraid , I was petrified, ... I thought Scorp guys were difficult to work out, ... but I have since discovered trying to work out the Cancer male is almost bloody impossible... I shall get to the bottom of it though,,, there is just little info on them (plenty on scorp men) .. Perhaps it is because their moods are tied to the moon, or something?, but who knows,,, I have never experienced such a difficult/ yet completely charming person all at the same time, in the space of a few hours at times..!

i think cancers are harmless deep down. ive certainly experienced cancer outbursts but the bark is scarier than the bite. cancer love too hard at times and get burned because of it but they are strong. they dont hold in their emotions the same way a scorpio does which IMO makes scorps way more dangerous. i think pisces are more likely to let emotions get them depressed but they have an independent streak and can pull themselves out. scorpios are the ones most likely to commit a "crime of passion". they're sneaky lol

For everyone doubting, looks are deceiving. The most harmless people, are often the most dangerous because you underestimate them and don't expect it. Leo, Scorpio, and Aries may show you and express their anger/hate so you know what you're getting into but a Cancer may suppress it, then slit your throat in your sleep, or just later on.. I don't feel the need to do back handed revenge or hide it after so long I want them to know it was me who ___ and will do it again.

The original post coupled —dangerous?? with killers and criminals. When I say cancers are not dangerous I don't mean it as a sign of weakness. My experience with cancers is that they can be hotheaded and have an outburst but they usually know when to cut their losses, as opposed to holding anger in and letting it eat them and do something sneaky (like many scorpios can). I'd take an emotional outburst ANYDAY rather than somebody harboring anger and burning people when the opportunity strikes

This definitely caused me to ponder a bit.

FWIW, the THREE most temperamental, angry, outburst-prone, violent men I know are two Cancers and a Leo. Mind you, I don't mean strong, driven men. I don't mean sensitive and ambitious and misunderstood men. I don't mean men who once slapped or pushed their woman during a heated argument. I mean ABUSIVE men. I mean men who BEAT their women repeatedly, sometimes requiring medical treatment. Interestingly enough, the Leo has a Cancer Moon and either Mars or Venus, can't remember which. He's my ex, and I don't care enough to look it up again. The two Cancers... are my Cancer brother (Leo Moon and Mars)... and my Leo sister's abusive Cancer ex (I don't know the rest of his chart, but following the pattern, I'd wager he's got some Leo in there.) I also note here that my Leo sister was very good at instigating and joining in physical combat with her ex... it really was quite alarming and horrifying to watch her do it over and over, whether it was Tuesday or Thanksgiving Day... and I double checked.. she's got Cancer for her Rising, Mercury, and Saturn. o.O

At this point, I'm fascinated how Cancer, or the combination of Cancer and Leo placements, seem to bring out some sort of violent, angry behaviors. And here I was just blaming alcohol and/or drugs LOL (Might still be a contributing factor to the crumbling of their self-control.)

Are YOU violent, enfant? Because I don't believe that every person with Cancer and/or Cancer-Leo combos must absolutely be violent and abusive. But I might be willing to wager that you have dark, violent thoughts and reactive feelings in your head ...even if you have the self-control to not act on them. Crimes of passion when their control slips completely indeed. Zoinks! Are we going to read about you on CNN.com someday, enfant?

Oh... I have two sisters, both Leos... and since they BOTH have behaved in a similar, mutually combative way with men, I checked her chart too -- don't see any Cancer mixed with HER Leo placements.. Rising/Moon in Scorpio, though. Which probably explains why she seems more Scorpio than Leo most of the time, eh? lol

Maybe Watery Leos are a very challenging chart, moreso than just being Cancer or having Cancer placements?

Your thoughts remind me a little about A Clockwork Orange - the novel, that is. In the original ending the main character grows up and realizes violence is not fun anymore. Now I don't in any way associate myself with him , but what's intresting about that novel is that it addresses the stages of development in young boys lives. I believe all boys go through this aggressive Nietszche-like stage, and I think the more time you have to yourself at that age, the bigger chances are you'll stay at that stage, which in itself can be dangerous because that is a breeding ground for personality disorders.

You question your beliefs and the beliefs of others. In the process you start loathing humanity along the lines of "I am better than you because I am capable of more than you". Sure, at that stage anything goes if you knew for sure you'd get away with it: rape, murder, general mayham. I never felt the urge to actually act upon it, I was just under the impression that I was capable of it. There's a big difference. And that's as far as my dark side goes. I matured and realized I was just being silly like any rebelious teenager. These days I suffer from a different kind of personality disorder - I am too damn empathetic! I actually have to tone it down.

As far as the issue your Leos and Cancers have with women, I can honestly say I've never been there. Women have a soothing effect on me. It's the men that I loath for some strange reason. I can't stand the company of men. I think a psychoanalyst would probably label me as a closet homosexual or something, but I know that's not the case. Despite being "masculine", I still can't relate to men.

But I do believe that Cancer moon placements make for misunderstood men. The moon and the Cancer are both feminine elements in astrology. I think it is that blend of feminity and masculinity that makes this such a complicated placement. The people around us may not fully understand where we're coming from - at times even we don't understand it - and this in turn can lead to a downward spiral of misunderstandings. Misunderstood doesen't mean righteous, it just means that sometimes we may not be able to live up to the expectations other people have of us. Which can be frustrating.

I have a Cancer ascendant and this is exactly what I thought..

I mean I can get upset about things like Anyone, but I am HARMLESS. Protective about the people I care about? Sure.

When I am upset about something, I tend to express my anger and let them know how I feel -- Vocally. That is probably coming from my Aries in MC, but I wouldn't ever try to go THAT far, unless I had no choice but to defend myself from someone. Natural instincts, dawg. lol ... besides that I'm just a cat.

Agree! Cancer women make good company in terms of communication, but I don't like getting too close underneath that make-up and their everyday lives. They are like charicatures of all things moody: words like irrational, hypersensitive, contantly-on-the-rag come to mind. I'm sure they are misunderstood and blah blah....but I can't take any of that. Makes me cringe.

Of the Cancer women I know, I dont like their attitudes. Very controlling and too emotional. I dont think that the violence comes from a Cancer not putting up with someones crap. I think that it comes from wanting to control and doing it by any means necessary. OJ Simpson is a Cancer. Most of the males I get along with pretty well.

There are some intresting Cancer Moon celebs out there. Both Sean Penn (Leo) and Vincent Gallo (Aries) have that Cancer Moon. Indeed, they seem both somewhat emotionally unstable. Tormented somehow. What's more intresting is that they've both been behind the camera and their movies are pretty similiar in style and content. Sean Penn directed Indian Runner and Into the Blue. Vincent Gallo directed Buffalo '66 and Brown Bunny. As a Cancer Moon I feel very much drawn to these type of "character studies" that other people seem to find boring or unfulfilling. Melancholy and slow pace doesen't scare me.

No, we aren't the most dangerous, unless provoked. very easy going is how i would describe us. i can get along with nearly everyone and revenge isn't my thing like with a scorpio. I don't like violence, i don't like seeing others hurt, and i don't like the thought that i could have hurt somebody physically or emotionally. It's bad voodoo, even if i don't like the person. I think you * really * have to be trying to provoke us if you want thing to escalate.

For instance, one big caveat is that if you try to physically harm my family, may god have mercy on you, because i won't.

I've always felt like I could be a lot more dangerous than most people. When you care so much, you can go from ultimate goodness to deep evil, I would think. It's about intensity of feelings, not a bad personality or evil side. I would have thought Scorpio to be even worse, but they're a bit more arrogant and detached, in a way. Much less snappy, too.

I know I already answered this but as my anger builds up from being suppressed, I can get evil thoughts and the most I can do is hurt them with words, and by cutting them off emotionally. I'm not going to do anything physical unless someone attacks me first and then I will fight with all the energy I have but no one is worth going to jail for.

With cancerians, their world revolves around "my feelings this, my feelings that, my feelings should be protected at ALL COSTS and screw the rest" they are truly the most self-serving, sneaky, emotionally manipulative of the (water) signs.
