Leave them alone until they are done brooding. Realize that any swing is temporary and we will be back to a happy equilibrium eventually.

Depends what mood swing it is. If i am veryyy pissed at you, hug me kiss me tell me you care and that you will be by your phone if i need you. Pretty much that applies to every mood swing hahaha were really not that complicated!
