I don't know if thats what I would call emotional manipulation. Isn't that more crying to make someone feel bad so they won't leave you. I would say he just lashed out when he knew the jig was up.

When I called him out on it I told him I wouldnt be talking to him anymore because up until I found out he was acting funny treating me different and I still tried to work it out. I even asked him if there was someone and he lied and said no so when I officially found out with evidence I told him I was leaving. I don't participate in three way situations I feel like that is very unfair to me. So I stopped talking to him.

You said a girl texted him from his phone. I'm pretty sure he texted you all that to show her because she was probably feeling insecure about who you were. He wanted to "prove" to her you didn't mean anything to him.

Whenever you feel like you miss him, just look at his lame text with the smiley faces again. That should do.

If he's trying to goad you into an argument, the best way to win it is to not respond. Being ghosted is possibly most infuriating thing someone can do, so I wholehearted recommend weaponizeing that shit! 😄
