How is this a mind game? He calls you and reaches out. Even when you're not talkative and don't contribute to an ongoing conversation, he calls to check-in with you to let you know he cares.

But that is STILL not enough for you, because you demand he play the role you want of him.

I didn't miss the point. He was making a joke. You didn't get it.

Honestly if you want to move forward with him I would ignore those grand statements of his "been waiting 35 years for you...etc. etc." and just let the relationship unfold naturally. Its only been 2 months. Time will tell whether or not he is 'the one'.

If you want to see him then reach out. Don't let the communication responsibilities rest solely on his shoulders.
