I'm curious...

Do crabs ever create a little (emotional or communicative) distance between themselves and their friends, or romantic prospects, on purpose? If so, what could the possible reasons for this be?

my experience is that they want attention. sort of reverse psychology.

Interesting thought, Pato. For some reason I've never felt that Cancers were after attention. Maybe it's a certain type of attention they need, unlike the type that, say, Leos need. I don't think Cancers need a lot of flattery or praise, but I do think they need to be needed. Thanks for your thoughts.

Hi phoenix, I am a Cancer and when I create emotional distance it is because It us because I feel myself getting close to that person and until I am % 100 sure they are feeling the same way I am very cautious.

Hi Cancer Buddy. It depends on how deep the feelings are that I am having. If they are really deep I tend to create the distance because my own feelngs can be so strong that it scares me. But once I let go....it's love to the fullest!!

ROFL Interesting viewpoint, Parallax. Your words ring so true to my fiancee's personality lol. As much as I am straightforward (I'm a Scorpio), he appears aloof and detached, sometimes even uncaring, when I KNOW that's not true lol. He says very little about how he feels, and unless poked or prodded (careful, too much poking and prodding will bring out the shell lol)... or if he feels ignored (when I get quiet out of frustration lol)... he says very little and 'assumes' I can read all of his thoughts and feeling. It takes a very patient person to wait past what I call the initial 'cold' phase of the Cancerian, but it's well worth the wait. (I call it that because he appeared so detached and unaffected, but at the same time told me straight out that that I was everything he was looking for... Talk about confused? His actions didn't seem to match his words, but since then, I have researched and found out why that is... Amazing how much our personalities follow the descriptions of our signs 😛)

Without even receiving a definition of what the term 'moon love' means to you, I'd be willing to bet I know exactly what you are referring to... and I'd have to say Amen to it being worth the wait!
