Is he being geunine or not?

So there's this cancer guy that I liked yet I never showed a lot of interest (I have a fear of rejection - I know bad match with a cancer haha) even though He made it clear he liked me. Well, sure enough there came along a girl that did show interest and he ended up dating her. I told him that I liked him after the fact but by then it was too late. Anyway - now he broke up with her and the next day called me and asked me if I wanted to hang out? Am I a rebound? If he liked me more, wouldn't he had broken up with her right when I showed him interest or no?

it doesnt work like that......if he didnt think u were interested he has to proceed foward. to tell him after the fact sucks and it was good he didnt just break up with her for u.....being wanted only when u arent available complicates it. u never know though.... as they were dating maybe he kept thinking about the possibilities with u and that might have helped bring thier relationship to a demise. if u back off now than he is going to think u are just playing games with him.....hangout give it a chance...no harm no foul.

Cj7 has a point! MOST things deserve a chance to start, why not give this a chance?

give it a chance pisces girl!! i think cancer guys need to be shown interest for them to slowly come out of their shell. i'm (pisces) casually dating a cancer guy at the moment, at first i was bit skeptical he didn't like me so i wasn't doing much. but after been hanging out for aa while, i realized the more i show bit of attention (without revealing much about feelings) then he slowly comes around .. which is .. great!!!! i have met maybe half of his family already LOL!!
