Is There a Chance in Hell For Cancer-Libra Pairs?

I have read astrology posts stating that Cancer-Libra pairings are very challenging in terms of compatibility. Why?

libras are too flighty and cancers need a lot of security.

oh, but i think it can work if both parties make concerted efforts... just takes a lot of work and maturity.

Thank you! Compromise for both is needed for things to work out. When you say Libras are too flighty, do you mean they not as sensitive as Cancers? Do we really appear as non-caring and aloof? I know Cancers are very sesitive, but somehow the ones I know appear to be the ones who are aloof.

we seem aloof to most people, but we don't see ourselves that way. we try to space ourselves from people because (this is for me anyway) we can get too clingy and realize we have to overcompensate a bit for that.

libras are just kinda... i dunno... social butterflies? too popular with too many friends? hard to explain... i just get the impression that there's too much of a roving eye.

oh, and kind of unreliable.

I can't argue with you on the fact that Librans generally are very social. Nevertheless, they are sensitive to those they really love. For me, about ten years ago, this social butterfly image was true. Now, I have evolved into a more reserved and serious-minded individual. My Cancer friend on the other hand, appears to be the social one. I feel like we have switched places. At this point, I can do just about anything to make things work for my Cancerian friend. If he is on the same wavelength as me, then I feel there is hope. Wish me luck! 🙂

well my ex stepmother is a cancer and my father is libra lets just say I am shocked they made it 8 yrs. but unlike most cancer woman she is not the marrying kind ( I mean she is not the type who wants marriage) I thinkit's because she takes our fantasizing to a new level were her ideal prince charming is not in any man she is with. well at least that is what her neice ( the neice is two yrs older) who is a friend of my father says anyway. but then again am a cancer and wouldn't date a man like my father because he can be quite annoying and condescending. that is from a female can and male libra pov but i like libra woman they are cool people

but they say libra are bad with pisces but then my mother went ahead and married another libra and they argue but it is different from my father so i would bank on more than just there sun sign. other factors come into play. my father feels he should never set foot in the kitchen and it is a woman thing while my stepfather cooks a lot. my father is overly generous with money and my stepfather is the opposite. I would definetly think their other planets play a big difference in their personality.

so don't be scared about your relationship because it can defy sun sign compatibility.

It's tempting to try, but i don't think many of those unions can work for a long time, the connection just isn't very strong. Still, the sun sign is just a part of the whole thing.

cancer and me get along pretty good. we don't have lots of problems getting along at all. but i do feel like i have to be pretty careful not to hurt her feelings sometimes but that comes naturally to me. its so intenese sometimes, and thats pretty exciting.

My Libra friend is with a Cancer. I think she's frustrated. He seems to be the flaky, flighty one. He tells her they will go out and then something comes up or he doesn't call... I'm thinking that maybe he's just in it for the sex. She's not clingy herself, she's your typical libra but she does have feelings for him so I see the disappointment sometimes. He'll check up on her to make sure she isn't seeing someone else but I get the feeling he takes her for granted.

Then again, we'll see when that pretty Libra moves on.. who's going to be clinging. He's distant but he's not uninterested.

I think the issue with this pairing is communication.

Yes, communication on the Cancer's part. They are so secretive. They expect people to read their thoughts.
