Question for cancer women

Do Cancer women 'test' their potential partners in certain ways? Similarly to what people say Scorpios do?

What are some ways you've done this?

I had an interaction recently with a Cancer and I got the impression that she was sort of playing a game or testing me in some way, unexpectedly. It was kind of rude. I just brushed it off but it kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

Just curious.

The post isn't really about my experience specifically, just a general question. I wasn't looking to critique my interaction or her. Just want to learn more about Cancers.

I definitely feel like they can. Not that it's a tendency or anything but, seems like some of them definitely try to push you away to see if you'll stay anyways.

Yeah I've had that experience.

I tell my significant other the whole truth about myself. My flaws and the bad just to see if they were listening to me in the first place before saying I am a total biiitch.

They do similarly to Scorps, even more with Scorpio placements.

I don't. Can't speak for everyone though.

I just want someone who can put up with me. That will be revealed sooner or later. I hate games and tests.

I see. I feel as long as you're being your genuine self there's no reason to not be patient or understanding. Games and tests definitely just get in the way of that process. Like they're afraid of being vulnerable or real. Seems like most Cancers tend to be genuine, however.

hmmmm I'm a cancer girl, and I don't test my partners in any sense, but I do sometimes push them away a little.

Like I can be very attentive for some time but then go on 'silent mode' for a few days, and some people take it as me playing them. I'm not trying to do that though or hurt them, but i just need some time to process things. Especially if relationship is progressing too fast for me, I get kind of anxious and tend to hide myself away rather than talk about it.

Yes I have done this too. I asked him a lot of questions to know him better whether we will be able to get along and I also pushed him initially a lot to see if he'd stay.

I test only for the soul purpose of making sure the other person actually likes and respects me. But very subtly. Kind of like a Scorpio. And calculated. Not obvious or malicious in any way. Just to protect my self from giving too much of my self to someone who doesn’t deserve it. But I’m more direct (my fire placements) so there is a double purpose to my test. I’ll ask a question, a genuine one like “I’d like to take you out, are you available to chat later. I’d prefer to talk to you and not be impersonal”. All that would be true, however, depending on their response I know where I stand without even needing to ask. But that’s from experience.

I'm a Scorpio with fire placements and I interact with love interests the same way. Seems like the only real way to go about seeing if someone is interested as well. Wouldn't even call it testing, but rather a plain expression of interest.

I think the testing I noticed that night was more underhanded and subversive, to see how I would react to it simply for the sake of it. I've concluded that it was just her character, and not much to do with Cancer as a sign. One less than great person in the group doesn't represent the group. And having said that the majority of Cancer girls I've known have all been gems, my sister included. I think that's why I was so surprised. I really don't understand where that girl was coming from with it. Oh well, nbd.

ya im a cancer, would you elaborate on the story? not sure i follow.

I sometimes do test but only in the begennjng just to make sure who's getting in... Because let's be honest as water signs once someone is in deep they never leave no matter how hurt can be resulted

.. So better make sure who gets there to begin with...
