Why is this cancer male reappearing in my life?

A while back I was seeing a cancer man who I thought was very distant, emotionally unavailable, and inconsistent. He was very wish washy about whether he wanted to be in a relationship with me or not, therefore we mutually decided to end things and to not remain friends as it would be difficult. Normally I do not like to have people I no longer associate with on social media anymore. However, recently this cancer has tried to get my attention on social media numerous times and tries to chat with me. Its been about 2 months since we stopped seeing each other but I just don't understand this sign. He says he misses me and thinks about me yet he couldn't commit to me before. I've mostly ignored him because I know it will never go anywhere but I just want to know if this manipulative behaviour is normal for cancer's, and more importantly, why do you guys do it?

If you "know" it won't go anywhere, they why not just block him?

That way, you can stop mentally obsessing over his actions, and actually move on, which you haven't.

His other options fell through so he's circling back around to you. Keep ignoring.

That way, you can stop mentally obsessing over his actions, and actually move on, which you haven't.

I agree and I don't stay in contact regardless, but this post was more to understand cancer's as that was the only cancer I dealt with and I don't understand the motive behind their actions in general.

There is no point in trying to understand it. Just move on, be happy. Sometimes things don't need an explanation.

This is actually very common for cancers to do. They always come back if the relationship has ended on civil terms. When he was whishy washy it was because someone else was more interesting at that point than you. Probably the other person doesnt give him the time of day so now he wants confirmation from you that you still like him that way. I would salut you if you'd block his ass and let him know who's boss. These kind of people sometimes think that you're oblivious to what is going on and think they can manipulate their way back into your life.

Yes thats exactly what i’ll be doing. Just didnt know if this was common for cancer’s but I guess people from any sign have the ability to be manipulative.
