So, I noticed that ya'll LOVE to live in the past. I mean, always talking about past flings and exes. My ex wife would do this and the new GF has been doing this non-stop.

What's up with that?

I wouldn't say I love to live in the past. If I am willing to open up to you about my past that is showing I trust you. The most recent time I did that, it was more so for the other person to have an understanding and appreciation of where I am today compared to where I was or in spite of what I've been through.

I also use the past as a reminder that I can make it and am capable of getting through and achieving anything I set my mind to.

I do know some caps who have a hard time moving on & letting go, myself included sometimes because we feel deeply and give so much of ourselves when involved in a relationship.
I feel ya on that.

I'm talking about lets say a birthday.........
My ex wife was married once before and her ex husband didn't like celebrating birthdays. So, every single time anyone had a birthday she would say " my ex husband didn't like to celebrate birthdays". This happened with EVERYTHING. The now GF is doing the same exact thing.

Perhaps she means it as a complement to you. As if she's appreciating you like these things or acknowledging you're a much better fit for her than her exes.

Instead of worrying, try to look at it in a positive way.

It could be good for you to know what she's been through before, what she didn't like about her exes, what she did like - that way you get hints about what will make her happy. Her ex didn't like celebrating birthdays - you do - she might LIKE celebrating her birthday and you can do something awesome for her that she will appreciate.

I try not to talk about exes. I don't like hearing about his, so I'm sure he doesn't like hearing about mine. But, mentally, sometimes I can't help but compare your good to their bad. It helps me appreciate what I have now.

If it bothers you, you should tell her.

Hell naw. If something relevant comes up naturally in a convo, that's one thing, but the past is the past. Comparing/contrasting you in any way to them is the height of rudeness.
I agree. I was trying to put a positive spin on it to present a way of looking at it that isn't so upsetting.

Hi Sssupes. Pleasure to meet you.

That is a bit rude, and she may not realize that she's coming.off that way. In reality she may not have any emotional attachment to her words.. but if it bothers you that much, I'd have a conversation with her about it.

Not good for your Leo ego, is it?

Personaly my former Cap would talk about his past "adventures" quite frequently. It didn't offend my Leo ego one bit. I thought it was an endearing way for him to "flex his muscles" and to "prove" his male prowess to me.

The past is the past BUT the present is the present AND it can affect the future. That's what should be kept in mind when dealing with a Cap man.

LOL! Did I say it bothered me? ³

In fact, all it does is stroke that ego for me a little. I just noticed the similarities and decided to ask a simple question.

I'll give ya an A+ for getting defensive though!

Missed your cranky ass, bro

It doesn't bother me in the slightest, just noticing similarities between 2 people and decided to ask.

I don't like mentioning exes and find it rude to the current person I am with.

I can't help but wonder if Caps do it on purpose as a subtle comparison tactic. They are smart people, cannot see how they don't notice it could be perceived as disrespectful.

This reminded me of my Capricorn friend who compares all his girlfriends to Mia Sara in her younger years.

All I have to do on one of his bad days is show him anything Mia Sara from back then. It will turn his frown upside down.

He had a short obsession with the French singer Alizee too. Silly Cap.
