Annoying Friend

So my Scorp best friend and I are like two peas in a pod. Same interests, same values, similar personalities, but also different in many ways. We just get along great. A couple months ago, my best friend's step sister (her mother has a child with this girl's dad) moved to the area for school. She lives in my best friend's mom's house. Because of this, the two are always together. They also go to the same college, so they hang out there a lot too.

I'm totally fine with this. But now, since this girl has shown up, my best friend and I rarely hang out *alone*. This would be fine if I liked the other girl, but I don't. Scorp & I enjoy things like sushi dates, or trying new restaurants - other girl is super picky and refuses to eat sushi or anything remotely cultural, so she dictates everywhere we eat when we're together. Scorp and I also really like shopping in thrift stores - other girl is the name brand queen and doesn't like thrift stores. Scorp is super into fitness and working out because she is trying to lose weight - this girl won't go to the gym with her "because it hurts the next day". She is also a hypocrite - she is super insecure about herself, it's clear in the way she behaves. The other day I was talking about how I was thinking of getting a breast augmentation, and she goes "Just be happy with your body, stop trying to change things." Yet all she does is complain about how ugly she is and how she hates her body. She's impossible to talk to, doesn't respect other people's opinions at all. She's a Pisces. I usually get along great with Pisces, but this girl...nope, can't do it.

She basically just grinds my gears. I cannot *stand* her. Problem is, she automatically tags along any time my best friend and I make plans. How do I stop this? Or go around it? Unless my friend asks me my opinion on this girl, I don't want to say anything about not liking her because I don't want to hurt my friend's feelings. Any ideas on how to deal with this?

From a scorp perspective, i would expect my friends to tell me if they felt they were losing me as a friend. I respect the honesty more than i do someone holding back and not being able to fix the situation but remember this is the scorp's sister. Half, step, full. Doesn't matter. If someone asked me to choose between them and my sister ((half sister)) my sister will always come first.

I get that she's her sister, that's why I'm not saying anything. It's not about choosing, it's simply about getting some alone time with my best friend.

Well just tell your friend that now. If you leave it. It will cause friction between you. I know i would be more understanding early while she can do something about it
