Scorpio rant!!!!!

This is just me twinning! But this gas really bugged me.

So any of you that read my post will know ((because i post alot about what i deal with on here lol)) that for a while i have been struggling. Yes I am a young scorp. Im 20.

but last week i got my first flat. So proud because I worked hard to get to this point. And I did it on my own.

So I've spent the week doing it up and making it look nice and everything is how i like it. All clean and tidy.

My brother came over today to see it and he brought his son ((3)). He asked if my nephew could get a drink and I said "course but pleas can you make sure he has it in the kitchen so if he spills it I can clean it up easy." buuuuuut no. He brings the drink of BLACKCURRANT JUICE into the lounge. That annoyed me, but being me, i said nothing. 10 mins later, BAM!! Blackcurrant allllllll over my white fur rug.......

I went ballistic at my brother. "see!! This is why i asked you to make him have it in the kitchen!! You never listen!! The rug is white!!!"

.....my brother answers "stop being precious. Hes three, God"

i know i get funny at times but this is my space. My sanctuary.

am i in the wrong??

Um, no.

It's not like you were blaming the kid-- but the negligent adult who permitted his child to drink

BLACKCURRANT JUICE on your white rug, when you kindly asked him not to.

I wouldn't have kept quiet, but scuttled that kid straight back to the kitchen.

My house, my rules.

Congrats! And it's a flaw of most fathers imo, being overly gentle on their own kids. Remind him not to be too soft. I'd expect that from any family member of mine if I had my kid and was making a mistake like that.

Then again, my opinion for your consideration.

Teach him the woes of cleaning a fur rug 😄

These are just first world problems.

Yeah.

But isn't it human nature to want to enjoy and preserve (to a degree) the fruits of your labor?

And also, to check yourself at times regarding interactions with others?

We can't just devolve into omphaloskepsis, because a 2nd and 3rd world exist.

Wrong for being upset, no. That's not your issues. The issue is you need to learn how to speak up when something is bothering you. It's unfortunate you had to pay for that life lesson.
