capricorn mooners are actually very emotional

As I'm starting to learn more about my moon, one thing particularly struck me. People with their moon in Capricorn are hard and cold because they are in fact extremely sensitive and feel SO much. And that is (apparently) exactly why they suppress their emotions and become tough and try to numb the pain. Now I always thought, capricorns are simply very rational-minded, but there seems to be much more to it than that. And it feels like I just understood something about myself that I always kind of denied. Fellow capricorn-moons, can you relate to this as much as I can? How do you cope with strong feelings?

You're an idiot, no we're not.
lovely welcome to your forum capink 😄
Is your moon in capricorn? I'm a newbie to both astrology and dxp, so please be lenient with me. I want to understand my moon, and so started reading about it. I just found it very fitting to my own personality and the way I deal with emotions. read for yourself: http://astrophilosophy.tumblr.com/post/51131683451/moon-in-capricorn

no.

I think you've described your aqua sun not cap moon
Aqua sun description would be more like "detached, aloof, rational-minded". What I paraphrased from the astro-site was that capricorn mooners suppress their emotions because they do feel them deeply and are very sensitive. That their own emotions toughen them up, so to say. I just wondered if anyone else can relate. Of course you might be right and some other aspects of my chart make me ore like that.

I dunno. I have feelings, but I usually just stuff them. To the point that I don't really know exactly WHAT I'm feeling, I just know that I do. That could be my 12th house moon though.

The times that I do express my feelings in an emotional way, it comes out at inappropriate times and usually in the form of emotional diarrhea, so that's why I do everything in my power to keep it in check.

I'm comfortable with feelings on an intellectual level (if that makes any sense) but I'm terrible at expressing them in any deep way.

Aqua sun, cap moon here

Totally accurate for me. I surpress a lot because I'm damn sensitive deep down. Always showing the hard cold poker face or maybe anger but deep down I'm hurting
Maybe it's especially true for our sun-moon combo. I bottle up a lot inside of me, and showing an attitude here and there is probably my mechanism to avoid a potential emotional outburst. It actually took the right person in my life to even get me to show emotions. :/ But still I struggle a lot with being very sensitive and vulnerable and absolutely hate showing that I'm hurt or jealous or anything like that.

Pisces :S *hides*
But it's actually on 0-1 degrees, so on the cusp to Aquarius. I've read through the descriptions though and Pisces mars fits a lot better.

That may have more to do with it. As a Cap moon, I don't get crazy mood swings, and if there's nothing wrong in my life, I'm fine. But I also have Mars in Cancer (worst of them all) so I'm motivated by my emotional state. If I'm happy, I'm level-headed, confident, but if anything is wrong, I tend to be a big, fat, moody baby.

I thought Mars represents, what I (as a woman) am attracted to in others?

I just laughed hysterically at "emotional diarrhea" because I'm immature at heart.

I feel the same way with my Virgo moon.

I was just lurking. most of my friends are cap moons

it does represent that, but it also represents how we are passionate, our passion, our aggression etc.

hard moon sign to have, it make you make the most fun easy going task difficult, you are prone to depression . you do have great control of your emotion, you respond well with logic most of the time, you also care about social ethic, you are the person less likely to appear ratchet or act out of control,
I agree with most of what you said, except I don't think I am very prone to depression. My aqua sun might be the reason. Or maybe life just hasn't put me in that situation yet. But what I CAN say is that I find it extremely difficult, to have empathy for people who do have a depression. I have two friends going through that atm and I am there for them and give them advice whenever I can, but no matter how hard I try, I cannot comprehend, how a person can let it come so far. Probably because I know that i would NEVER allow myself such weakness, no matter how miserable I am. In any given situation, I seem to be able to wrap myself up, get up, ignore the pain, and toughen up a little more for the next time. I do wish I was more empathic though. It feels like I need a lot of emotional support to feel good myself (especially in a relationship) but suck at supporting others emotionally. 😢
About complicating simple tasks (if I got you right), I don't think that's a bad thing. I just hate taking the easy/lazy way, whatever I do. And even simple tasks, I can carry out with amazing enthusiasm and attention to detail. Why would you say it's a hard moon sign to have though? 🙂

DAMN TYPOS.

Capricorn placements are certainly emotional, if you think they're not then you're not aware of the deeper aspects of Capricorn. The operative word here? Emotive. Capricorns do not often willingly express their deepest feelings. Earth is grounded, often guarded. But that doesn't negate the fact that those feelings exist.

I have a Capricorn stellium and Saturn is my second dominant planet. Melancholy can be associated with Saturn, quite a bit actually. Things aren't always what they seem to be on the surface

We're volcanic. The volcano is not dormant- just reserved. I do feel bad for the person who does come across a goat moon tempter tantrum. I rarely reach my limit, but when I do, make room. And when I love I want the best for them, which means you always have an ally- unless you run a red light.
this is true for me, im a cap sun/moon, the volcano....there has been someone aware of it and i dont think they like it. we hold so much in, eventually it erupts.

i agree with OP. we are not outwardly emotional but inwardly we harbor deep emotions. the rest of you hard asses in here need to just suck it up and admit that you're really big softies.
