Capricorns and Texting

I don't know if it's just me, but I don't like it when people text me constantly. I feel like I'm being suffocated w/ constant questions of how my day was. Now before I seem like I don't appreciate anything, hear me out. I appreciate it when someone goes out of their way to text me and knowing how I am. I mean, I don't go out as much as I'd like to, so I guess it bothers me when somebody asks me how my day is, and I can't really say much cuz I haven't done anything all day! And sometimes it's like I want my space? I'd prefer to see the person rather than interact w/ my phone so much. I don't know, it just sounds like it's something a Pisces would feel (and I love all you fishes ^_^) I suppose it's typical for some people to feel this way. What about you guys? How do Capricorns feel about texting?

I don't like it much either. I hate the phone, but I prefer it to texting IF I like someone, and prefer one-on-one interaction to it all.

Like you, I don't have super exciting daily updates lol, so it does tend to make it awkward on my end.

unless im into you alot! or your a good friend im rather blah and not enthusiastic about the texting like wise for even face to face interaction.

I like face to face communication best. But, I would much rather text than talk on the phone!

I hate texts. I hate the damned text tone, it nearly gives me an anxiety attack each time! I hate cellphones! i've got a cellphone again and I resent that this evening people (in-law family weekend party😢) will be asking me again and reminding me that I "need" to carry it with me everywhere, all the time.😢 I've got major anxiety to look forward to! Yes! I jump at the sound when someone text me, and one night I almost had a heart-attack because I had my phone on my bed on vibrate and I got a text at like 3am. My heart was pounding!

My bill is due today, and I'm wondering if I should pay it.

I honestly just got a cell phone about a year or two ago, and its really not a necessity to me. Everyone around me just think it is. I'm not the biggest fan of phones either.

LOL @ these awesome posts. I can relate so much... especially @ElusiveSoul, I get "How was your day?" every day, from the same person all the time -__- (don't know if him being a gemini makes any difference? I'm still a beginner at astrology) and something different from him would be nice, although we do have interesting conversations every now & then.

Even w/ small talk I'm fine with but if it's awkward, I'm gonna shut down on you and I'm not gonna feel bad about it UNLESS you can come up w/ something better to talk about. But if I'm into you, I'll try to get you interested in me ^_^ That's the only time I don't mind having to text so constantly.

The one I talk to on & off. He talks a little bit more in person. He just started to open up a little more to me when it comes to venting about things he's passionate about career wise. Took his ass long enough (8 months now). He uses his phone a lot. However, when it's us having dinner, he'll put his phone down. Or when it's us having innocent alone time, he'll put his phone down.

OMG yessssss... To the slow texting... LOL.. When we're together since we don't see each other much, he usually starts a text/email on his phone and then in the middle of writing, he gives up after a like FUCK IT, I'll send it later.. hahah..

Yea I think my cap calls when more needs to be said or he's being impatient with me.. & wants a response from me RIGHT away!! 😛

I agree..

He does a lot from his phone for business email wise.. but even still, he puts aside work and his phone all together when it's alone time for us...

There's only been one time where he actually took a call while we were together and it was for business..

Then one night when we first started dating his phone was going off the hook with alerts.. I didn't think anything of it.. We weren't an item yet so it wasn't my place.. and guys were still hitting me up too.. BUT he always keeps his phone facing with the screen up.. and even that night he shows me his phone and goes, "Look... work still going even when I'm off the clock.. *sigh**.. It can wait.." Then he gave me this cute little kiss on my nose..

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fuck our lives for being involved with cap men. Well I'm not involved but talking to one. Anyways, yeah, I type sonnets for texts and I get one word answers or one short ass sentence. It triggers me but I don't let it show ever. Gotta play the cool Taurus role for now. lol

Haha! I watched my Cap bf texting one day in person. He texts so freaking slow. No wonder his responses are short ( I thought) lol usually if he wants to talk more (that involves him giving more info) he calls me. But he does like texting more those short one sentence so he can check in on the fly lol

The one I talk to on & off. He talks a little bit more in person. He just started to open up a little more to me when it comes to venting about things he's passionate about career wise. Took his ass long enough (8 months now). He uses his phone a lot. However, when it's us having dinner, he'll put his phone down. Or when it's us having innocent alone time, he'll put his phone down.

Mine talks a lot in person! Lol. He doesn't usually have his phone with him when I'm with him, but unless he's expecting someone to contact him like one of his sons or a friend who's coming by. I think it was texting back his son that day. it's actually unusual I'd see him texting. It's taken me 8 months to figure that out lol.

Yea, most of the time my cap just sits his phone down.. wherever we are.. He doesn't even really keep it on him.. He'll pick it up to check the time.. & the one time he stayed on it, I was visitng him and he didn't want me to drive home so he was steady looking up suites for us to stay in for the night.. That's the most I've seen him on it..

yes, it's all true - and I'm only a Cap Moon but I hate a lot of texting and would rather talk on the phone for a little bit but I'm very to the point and no beating around the bush - I go straight through the bush and don't care for sugar coating

Ok,that pretty much sounds like the situation with my cap guy. It was starting to bug me that I had to initiate things most of the time. And also made me question if I was the second person (first being his kid) he thought of when he woke up because I hardly receive good morning texts.

But it's only occasions when he's dry on the phone.. He normally chats me up.. and then ends up having something to do and he just gets off the phone .. So, yeah, not much of a phone person, tbh.

I know his schedule is pretty hectic.. and even on his off days, he is lazy, usually likes to lounge around and stay in and catch up on rest or spend time w/ his kids so he doesn't really say much then either..

There have been occasions where he's texted me on days where he only has office work and is working from home.. then he has more time and we usually text those days the whole way through til we say "good night.."

All depends on his schedule.

Ok thank you, I'll try not to let it get to me. I'm learning a lot from you all on my cap from your experiences that resonate with mine! :-) My cap also lounges around on his days off - But see, thats when I would expect to see or chat with him more - when he's doing nothing!

I'll text him saying "Whatcha up to handsome?"

He'll respond "Sitting in my chair" or "Watching the hockey game"

So with that said, that also brings up another thing that erks me... So if he's doing nothing, why doesnt he ask or make an attempt to try and hangout(!?!?!). Usually I have to, like texting, take the lead on getting him out of the house. Last Friday he took me out on a date to the movies, however, I was the one that had to get the ball rolling for us to meet up.

Today, instead of asking him if he wanted to hangout, I instead told him that we were.

His response was "I think I will be in bed at that time..."

I said "Drink a redbull or take a nap and expect me at your house at 10" (Had to choose a late time because he hasnt introduced his daughter to me yet, so we have to wait til he reads a bedtime story and puts her to sleep)

He responded "ok"

I only see him about once a week - but I'd like to see him everyday if I could.

Errr!

He just texted me back saying he has to work tomorrow.... And then after work he was taking his daughter to ChuckECheese (This i knew about, Work I didnt)...

I'm just ready to give up on putting forth the effort in trying to see him and even talk to him... I'm trying my hardest to be patient, but its getting really thin!

I'm going to tell him "I'm going to stop trying to put in the effort in us meeting up. I will let you decide when you can"

However, I don't know if I have the patients to wait on him.

Funny , I text my Caps once in a while and If dont hear back I let it go.

But there was this one time lol I texted my cap and expected a answer from him and when I got no answer at all

I texted him " hi , hello?

And he said "are you being funny? " Whats hi hello??""

I just had to point that out it still cracks me up.

Your above comment is how I feel at times.. I use to get offended but again, I start to remember that I do care that he gets the rest he needs.. My cap tends to overwork himself and barely has downtime... but when he does, I always tell him to get some sleep.. So I get you, but we have to think about the big picture.. It's not us most of the time.. it's them.. & I think they require long recharging sessions when they are not working.. He use to text me from the couch or FaceTime me but he always sounded so tired or looked exhausted so although I was happy to see him/hear from him. I felt bad..

LOL @ his "sitting in a chair' response.. So like them.. They will tell you EXACTLY what they are doing. But it's not detailed or intriguing...

Uhmm yeah.. About that.. They are more'so "home-bodies" IMO.. So a lot of our time together, I have to suggest.. & if he's free, we do it.. Or he'll say, "I wanna see you.." & I respond, "I wanna see you too.." BUT then, he doesn't follow through.. Like HELLO...?? You wanna see me, MAKE IT HAPPEN.. I honestly think they prefer just being in the house, alone. Nothing against us.. Just how they are.. But like you, You'd think they'd automatically make that "off-time" available for their S/O.. lol.. Or interest.. Uhhh.. Not so much.. So yeah, you'll be doing most of the initiating with outings also.. Unless of course you 2 get further along and move in together...

Yea, that was my mother's suggestion to me when I wanna see him.. You have to tell them.. Don't give them the opportunity to over process the extra shit they have to do as well as spend time with you.. They need direct.. because the way my cap is, if I say, "Can we spend some time this weekend?" he goes.. "Yea.. but then I have to work.. I have to be there at 7 AM and then I won't be able to spend a whole day with you.. I just wanna lay up with you.. Then I'm gonna be all tired.. blah blah blah..".. I find when I say, "I'm coming to see you.." VS "Can I come see you?" His response is simply, Okay cool.. let me know times.. then we end up seeing each other.. It's weird.. lol

Well, I'm in a LDR with my cap so I'd like to see mine daily also BUT with both of our schedules, we have to see each other when we can..
