Hmm I had a very long relationship (12 yrs) so is not easy to throw away pictures or take then off social media.

I don't post pictures with anyone else unless I'm officially dating someone and after a few guys none of them have made it that far, just the dog of one of the guys and I really like him so there's that lol

So I basically only have pictures with my ex.

I do take pictures and keep them on my phone. No I don't delete them because they are special moments, whatever happened after doesn't change the fact that I was happy at that moment.

I remember when my sisters has old photos of family gatherings like HUGE family gatherings with uncles aunts grandmas grandpas, grandchildren ect.

and every one of my ex's has been there and met my family. Everyone of them liked my family, especially the one who has a bad upbringing (because he was craving desperately for a good family that he didn't so he idealized my family)

and he was the worst one, sadly, and my sisters blacked out each and everyone of their faces, or CUT them out.

I did the same thing with mine if my family were in there.

true story. I just noticed that I did that, and my sisters did the same thing...it's so weird they are loyal like that...

maybe people keep old photos because they haven't "moved on" and found someone more emotionally happy with?

that's why they keep it.

I notice its especially true for people who are depressed about their love life, ect.

just my observations.

they are pining for the old love because they haven't found the true connection or someone who will love them and accept them.

In my case my relationships were not ended bc of cheating so maybe it was different.

The other casual relationships were all special moments, we had fun, enjoyed our company until I realize we can't move forward in the relationship so we ended it.

Was thinking this the other day. Personally I remove them. Unless it didn't end on bad terms and there is always a chance. That hasn't happened often only currently.

Also the girl in question has kept ours up. I'm the only previous BF on her social media pages.

I've only deleted pics of one ex & it's the ex that led me to DXP. Usually, I just keep them on there since social media changes so much anyway. My old Friendster had a ton of pics of one ex, my Xanga had a bunch of another ex, Myspace, etc. If I reactivated my Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter, there'd be a lot of pics of my last GF.

No, I just usually end up losing them & finding them a decade later.

I delete them... there's just no reason to hold on to them...

I don't like to live in the past...

i don't do social media besides this.

i don't really do pics either.
