my heart break wasnt yesterday, but it was the last few months.
i'm on the same track as you. in those three months i also started with a new company: more reputable, better portfolio, bigger portfolio, room to grow in my territory, better incentive... you name it.
i've been kicking ass.
today i just landed two big sales 😉
...stick around kids.
cunning, we just find that the truth sucks, and money is quite stimulating lol

Hey fellow Caps! I have a bad habit of posting on the other boards and not enough on ours... So anyway, here I am! I threw caution to the wind with this last guy, wore my heart on my sleeve (which is very un-Cappie like, I know!) But I took a gamble and lost! Hey at least I found out sooner than later, right (1 mo!)Anywhoo I'm not talking about that anymore! Today is a new day & guess what!? I just landed an awesome J-O-B, that pays better $ $ $ $ and is a better company overall offering better incentives! CHA-CHING!
ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CLOUDS ARE GONE!
Are all Caps this way? I swear nothing makes me happier than advancing in my career & making GOOD MUNYYY HUNNY! 😉

lets alllll admit it, money is to attract ppl to us esp the opposite sex. if it were for security alone, we'd more than likely stop at our necessities.

I think what she means, is we like the feeling of being in CONTROL through what money can afford us, and whatever else having it can bring. I personally do it for me, to buy nice things and live comfortably, & lavishly. I do like the fact that I drive a nice car, and its a head turner to see a sexy girl in a sexy car = STATUS, and POWER!

if it werent for the desire to look good to others, in order to attract them on a physical and material stand point, then i think we'd all settle for a little less. i'm not saying that's all we're relying on. obviously not. but we caps live in the material world... touch, taste, smell, feel, hear
i personally like to relate to people on that level. i like it if they are enjoying themselves on that level. among many other levels.
i buy nice things because they look and feel good on me, and because i know they look good to others. namely guys. i wouldn't drop bucks on this dress, those pair of shoes, that quality make-up, that really nice perfume just because it's chill time on a sunday evening. i buy that crap to get noticed when i go out.
actually... lol more and more im wanting really nice stuff for chill time on every evening. i've been wearing this new perfume just for myself at home 😛 with an extra spray right before i get into bed ...alone

speaking of nice car... i'm literally about to head out the door to check out a c-class i might get. my parents said i should treat myself to something nice. i have a feeling they were thinking of something more conservative lol

Ah Creepy, yes I agree.
Im slowly becoming this way. Im money minded, but less aggressive than most Caps, plus im very indecisive and lazy. I try to hold tight to what I do make, so my mind is more focused on savings than being a go getter, but its time for me to do both.
Not only will I become more content with myself, because "my" status DOES matter to "me" but it will also distract me from love/relationships lol. I need a few more hobbies to help with that aswell.
On the flip side of this, I wouldnt be attracted to those that are attracted to me mainly because of what Im doing, what I have, or how I appear. Idk, but its a turnoff. Id like to "upgrade" a guy, but on a different level. Id like a guy to upgrade me, well try to lol, on a different level.
Im not sure why my status matters so much to me to where it prevents me from dating, yet its not something Id put on display and Id be turned off if it attracted people to me. Weird.

Posted by StillWaterWOW!!!!! 100% ...when I almost got my dream job, I had tears in my eyes and honestly thought i could never be happier. Needless to say, didn't get the job, but learned a big lesson that career advancements is one of the MOST happiest experiences for me.
Totally can relate to that. Especially after a heartbreak, I go straight into thinking about ways to make more money. It makes me feel better. That, and sleep. Ironically those sleep and making money are opposed lol, unless you're a prostitute.

If you didn't get the job, its because it wasn't meant to be (hope you didn't beat yourself up over it too much) Because I am living proof that THERE IS one better out there and it has your name written all over it hun!
