I build my walls to keep my privacy. Curiosity gets people hurt. This is a main reason I keep everyone at a distance from me. I get hurt, but I heal. Some get hurt and never recover...

Very interesting insight.

Can I quote you on that?

😐 really? that's the crap you want to quote?

WTF is wrong with all you of people on this site. Grow some balls, love yourself, don't try to force your own expectations on other people.

People naturally look for peoples insecurities to use it as an advantage point. Basically they use it to try to over power you. Now normally if it had worked once on me, shame on me. The next time it will be shame on you... Either I blast you back with your own insecurities to try to hurt you or just be mature and let it go and stop communication with you...

Caps make you feel safe in the strangest way. They can be so misunderstood, moody, selfish, etc - yet they make you feel like they are worth every ounce of confusion. Bypassing the wall is a challenge. Who doesn't like a challenge? 😉

I would do anything for anyone on the inside of the walls.
1) Because I believe they belong there.
2) Because they worked hard to get there.
3) Because they want to stay there on freewill.

It depends on the hurt. If it's not that important...ignore it.

Most say it with the intention to hurt, because if they didn't, they would have considered your feelings before they said it regardless if they are angry or not. And if they continue because they want to make a point, then the only point I get is that your goal is to try and hurt me at any cost. Walls!

Yeah but you can't say anything to a cap that's contradictory, it's perceived as wanting to hurt them. Way too sensitive....

Not fear of hurt. Should I return the feelings of hurt or just ignore it—

Neither.

Communication works best.

I'm a Taurus, I had to learn this lesson the hard way.....

I understand the need for the walls, it's a feeling of survival. Maintaining Emotional Strength, itself, is a human survival tactic. When you crumble, so does everyone around you. Keeping a cool head is what keeps you moving forward, but this stubborn trait can also be quite detrimental, suppressive, delusional and not reality.

You can't shield yourself from something you never really truly embraced.

When you open yourself up to love, you're also subjecting yourself to pain.

It's OK.

Love, itself, is a risk.

Agree with Taurus Bull! To say "ignore it" when talking about hurt is contradicting in itself. When you feel it, it happened, the pain won't go away if ignored, it's just supressed, and that's not healthy and one day the person might flip over bottling up.

No feelings are meant to be understood, learned from, not hold you back. These are delusions, and you??re making weak excuses, for your choices.

It is extremely rare event that anyone has the intention to hurt another person. If your S.O. cheats on you, likely their issues and problems that they are working out. If someone says something to hurt you likely it's a definitive tactic that they haven't learned to control, again their issue, their defect.

If you take it in as these people have hurt me! That's kind of the ego speaking. Now I'm sure there are a lot of different variables that have brought you to this place. Which honestly I'm not trying to understand, because in the grand scheme of it make little difference. In the end you are choosing to be hurt by these people, and choosing to carry that hurt with you, and that's your responsibility to take.

Now I say this not to just to you, but to everyone that seems to approve of what you said. Because I find this perspective unfortunate.

Without a doubt. You are your own enemy and choose who can hurt you. But if you are truly free from outside influences and have full self control, you should lead by example and help people accomplish a similar goal if they care about it and you care for them.

Most don't care, and that's the way they accept themselves to be. So they do NOT want to change and are doomed to repeat their fate over and over again. My motives are selfless and I have no time for such people in my life. So my statement stands tall. If they choose later when they are lost and have tried many ways and fail then try, I will still be here to help. Time is the only thing that never comes back. Use it wisely...

I was born in NYC and have spoken from the heart to over a million people in my life time. From friends to complete strangers and many elderly. I learn wisdom from understanding, not criticizing. I do respect you and thank you for posting.

I am speaking roughly about 90% of topics on this forum about people not understanding Capricorns.

We (people in our society in general) tend to gravitate to these clich?, words of wisdom. These lesson??s and ideals that have been taught in our cultural stories over and over, and we pull them out when it's convenient when it suits our needs, when it validates what we want to feel or believe. But how often do people think deeply on them objectively.

—You are your own enemy and choose who can hurt you??

But that's missing the point; it's not about choosing who can hurt you but about choosing hurt, and choosing how it affects you.

Nobody is perfect, I cannot sit here and say I am immune to hurt myself, but I won't pretend it's something that it is not, that it is justified??_ because it never is. My emotions do not dictate my logic.

And I'm sorry but logically your statement does not stand tall, it's a contradiction within itself.

—My motives are selfless and I have no time for such people in my life.??

Is that not selfish? To only give time to one's who you believe deserve it? That's your right, and I won't say it's wrong, but don't call it selfless. Because you have expectations for what you are giving, and you choose not to give to those who do not meet them.

The subject was hurting feelings or ignoring the fact.

-Selfish to me would be getting back because it feels good.
-Selfless meaning to defuse and move on.
