Yes. It started when at slumber parties in a group we would lul each other with storied into sleep.I do it a lot. Once when i had nightmares I did a cleansing ritual in sleep and frightened them away. I can do it a lot.
Or I have detachment from dreams in I know it's not real. Or I become aware of my bedroom.
What types of exercises do you do so that you reach the level where you are aware that you are dreaming?
If you look up WILD (wake induced lucid dreaming). It is a technique to lucid dream from your waking state.
Also there are many things you can do while you're in a lucid dream to make them last longer...like looking at your hands. Sounds silly I know but it works.
There are also things you can learn to look for while you're dreaming to recognize you're in the dream so you can take control.
Lucid dreaming is fun once you learn how to do it...you can also turn sleep paralysis into a lucid dream once you're more knowledgeable about how to achieve them on your own.
Lucid dreaming is being consciously aware that you're dreaming while you're inside you're dream.
I do it all the time. Not sure how or why
I wake up sometimes still having the conversation I was having in the dream too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What exactly is it? Anyone do it? What's it like? How does one become better at it? Are there any books or helpful reading that can lend insight into how to become a lucid dreamer?
