Why do I keep dreaming about a guy I only dated?

I keep dreaming about this Aqua I only dated. Never was in a committed relationship or never had sex with him. Last night I kept making myself go back to sleep and in each dream he was there. He was at my work place and an event & I also use to work with him. The dreams were in pieces but he never went away. I'm done with him and am now moving on. It has been times when he just pops up in my mind & I just try to push past it and deflect my thoughts of him. & if I'm done with him why does he come to mind. Could it be that he's thinking about me since I don't wanna deal with him anymore or just my psych being use to always thinking of him.

Probably because you still want him, and your subconscious is romanticizing the situation.

Before me and my boy got together, I'd dream about him far too often for my liking. It was a torment. Since we've joined, I'm having a real hard time remembering the last time I saw him in a dream. My waking life is much better now lol.

I have the same problem

Our subconscious minds tell us their hidden meanings in dreams. You dreaming about him is all you. You're trying to move on but that still doesn't mean you've completely moved on or wished too.

He's waiting for your apologize, maybe you did something bad to him.

Actually it was him. He was a liar and manipulative and tried to make me feel dumb. I suspected he was still with his child's mother and he played it as though they weren't together but all in all I just want it to be over where I forget him completely and maybe it won't happen until I leave my job but my job has great benefits.

Or he's been trying to make an amend for what he did but you never gave him the chance to do it.
