The trick is to make sure you have added enough water, at least one heaping cup.. Or it will burn. Invest in a cooking rack with handles for meats.
Other than that it’s literally throw shit in there and it’s done.
Let me look for my recipes and I’ll share.
You’re supposed to add water ? 😬
No fucking wonder 😂😂😩😩
I’m lmao
I was like why is this so dry? White people love them some instant pot...

Yessssss, and if you cook noodles, add an extra cup. I know it seems weird and you don’t want a watery ass din din. But that’s how it pressurizes. It will balance out, and don’t forget salt! Lol

It is so disappointing right ?
The first attempt hubs and babes were waiting patiently for it to be done and it smelled really promising ...but I literally opened the lid and was like WELLLL wanna order Chinese or go to Chic Fil A? 😅😖
Anyone have any good ones?
I’m not having much luck with this thing
Hot water
4 quarts water
Place 4 quarts of water in pot. Heat on medium setting for 2 hours.
Enjoy.
I use mine a lot but I not so great at using recipes. Mostly I just make soups or beans. This week I tried to make chicken and dumplings the same easy way I make it in the crock pot, and it needed way more liquid.
tbh I haven't gotten a lot of things to come out great, pork chops failed, chicken always comes out ehh, but also i don't think i like chicken that much.
So i'll wait for someone else to post recipes.

The rack is totally essential for cooking meat. I sear the meat @ first with oil or butter. Then I insert the rack and brother/water/seasoning and veggies.
It all comes down to timing as well. You’ll want to follow recommendations for the type of meat you’re cooking.
As for recipes: I find Pinterest has loads of interesting recipes. I have a limited diet so right now I’m making things super basic but I typically experiment quite a lot with mine.
I’ve owned an insta pot now since it first came out. The coolest thing I ever made with this thing was beef bulgogi 🤤 and I’ve made jam and I even experimented with baking a loaf of bread in it.
One thing I’ve been doing with it that I haven’t seen anywhere else so far is I make like a herb 🌿 concoction mixed with oil and spices and butter. I make it almost like it’s a herb and oil broth but once it’s combined on low in the instapot I then divide it into ice cube trays and once frozen I throw them into a zip lock. I use to wait until my herbs started to wilt to do this but now I do it the moment I buy a new batch of herbs for seasoning.
I make this corn 🌽 dish during bbq season. It’s super easy and looks like I tried hard 😂
I slather the corn in the cob in butter and mayo and then season the corn with a shit ton of spices like chilli, paprika, red pepper, cumin, pepper. I stand up all the corn in the instapot and cook for 20 mins.
Also, I do add two cups of veggie broth to the bottom and shake in a little sriracha.

Oooh you just sold my mom out 😂 that’s what she does
She calls it street corn and it sounds all authentic
