Is it just me or is thanksgiving some of the nastiest holiday foods out there?

Turkey tastes like it never had water while alive.

Stuffing is like nasty wet croutons.

And that cranberry shit is truly depraved.

The sides are the best thing about turkey dinner.

Green beans but with a balsamic drizzle. Mashed potatoes, sweet potato and pumpkin pie. *loads up the plate

I've never heard cranberry sauce described that way and I love it. Agreed on everything else

I'm going to make vegetarian Kalpudding:

But I'm struggling to come up with ideas and recipes that capture the feeling of thanksgiving. I do eat cheese and eggs, so if anyone has some ideas, I would appreciate it!

I don't celebrate Thanksgiving cause I'm not in the US lol but for Christmas, I'm gonna make a pecan nut crust base (so no pastry, just pecan nuts, coconut sugar and all) and fill it with homemade pureed sweet potato! that or I'll fill it with homemade apple cinnamon mix! And there's a whole abundance of vegetable side dishes you can look up online!
