Confusing Gemini man

I dated a Gemini man for about 2.5 months. We went out on actual dates frequently. Some of which he planned. We had really good chemistry. One day he called me at work and told me that I needed to be more available if I wanted to be in a relationship because my work schedule is crazy. I told him that I understood and would work on it. We were dating exclusively at the time because he said he doesn’t multi-date. A week later he tells me he’s not ready to be in a relationship. The dates stop. He said it’s not that he doesn’t want to move forward with me but that he just can’t commit at this moment. He says he still needs time. However, he still text me everyday. He recently went to California for vacation and text me everyday. He sent me text from parties, the beach etc. he has been single now for a year. His last relationship lasted 5 years . I’m confused as to what I should do.

If it is meant to be, then it will happen...In the mean time focus on bettering yourself, and making you happy. When you are not looking for it, that is when it will come.

Idk about placements. He is very good with communication. He still makes contact daily but we haven’t seen each other since he told me he doesn’t feel ready to be in a relationship. So we aren’t hanging out right now but he still text/ FaceTime etc
