I've been thinking about this thread for a couple of day and wanted to comment, while pointing out that I'm not making a vast generalization about Geminis (since I am one).

The same Gemini (or person in general) who's exciting to one person can be boring to another- boring is subjective and is about the experience of the one being bored, not the inherent "boringness" of the Gemini.

My Gemini housemate bores me even though he's charismatic, likes to do cool things, and has an interesting life. It's not that he doesn't have an amazing collection of interesting experiences and knowledge, it's that he presents them in a way that makes me want to shoot myself. He has only two conversation topics: himself and whatever point of view he wants to shove down my throat, and he doesn't even pretend to listen to anything that doesn't have to do with one of those topics. Hearing him go on and on about how cool he is, or constantly defending my own viewpoint, is tiring and boring. And yet, lots of other people are excited by him.

His situation caused me to do a reality check on myself. Was I doing the same thing? Was a change in order? What's worse for a Gem than to be bored and boring? Insult my weight, my mom, ANYTHING, but I can't stand to be considered boring. I know that I am interested in the interesting, but I sometimes probably forget that my definition of "interesting" isn't everyone's.

My husband says my Gemini best friend is boring, and it's for the same reason- she only talks about herself. I see that in her, but it doesn't bother me because she doesn't try to change my mind about anything and we have lots of fun. Another example of one person's exciting Gem being another person's boring Gem.

I'm feeling you , Whims. I know that "boring" is a sliding scale. But, there are people that don't know what you or I know in regards to your post. But, being the mutable person that I am, I will check them for being stupid. i.e. MoonBunny. Just saying.
