In 2007, the 'artist' Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street, tied him to a rope in an art gallery, starving him to death. He called this a 'Visual Arts Installation'.
For several days, the 'artist' and the visitors of the exhibition watched the shameful 'masterpiece' based on the dog's agony, until eventually the dog died.
Does it look like art to you?
But this is not all. A prestigious US Visual Arts Biennial decided that the 'installation' was actually 'art', so that Guillermo VargasHabacuc has been invited to repeat his cruel action for the biennial of 2008.
Yes, it is, GF .... and also for the people standing there who did nothing to go to the aid of the dog.
This is what the artist was trying to point out ... people will turn their back to suffering, such as we see in the last pic ... they will "feel" for the suffering, but do nothing.
People are fuming over this artist ... but, have no comments about the 250,000 people who viewed this exhibit ..
.. and failed to rescue the dog.
250,000 people, GF, and not ONE person rescued the dog .. people would be up in arms over the artist, Vargas, because this is gives them somewhere to point their anger ... but, he made his point, loud and clear to me ..
.. people will "feel" about suffering .. but, still fail to rescue when encountered with suffering.
